The hotel room was clean but small, it could use painting to freshen it up. However the bed was comfortable. Being on the 2nd floor and at the front of the hotel it was noisey. My main concern was the lack of options for eating, if you wanted a restaurant of any quality it required a cab ride. The hotel restaurant is the breakfast room in the morning and a basic dining area at night with a bar type menu.
The staff were okay regarding answering questions but did not go out of their way to be helpful. The hotel has a strange set up, to get to your room you have to go down a flight first, a nuisance with heavy luggage. There is an elevator to go the one floor but it is small. We felt it was value for money as Marriott has a senior's rate - bravo!

Chose Fairfield Inn out of all the other JFK/Jamaica hotels largely on the strength of reviews here, and was very happy with the choice. Airport hotels by definition are one-night stays, but there was a clear commitment to customer service from the staff we dealt with, and a nice clean room, good temperature control, and nice breakfast / newspapers etc.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on either end of our vacation and utilized their park and fly package. We found the check in process to be very efficient. The shuttle service was very prompt and the drivers helpful and courteous. The continental breakfast was far above average with an excellent selection of items. The rooms were clean. The staff was very courteous. I don't have any complaints what so ever and would recommend this hotel highly for the overnight guest. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 3 children and were treated like royalty!

The staff were very welcoming and helpful at this hotel. It was very handy for the airport (JFK) and a fairly short cab ride to Jamaica station which is on the subway link to Manhattan. Noisy air conditioning which came on every minute but we slept through it anyway. If you have teenage boys with you, they will know how to turn it off. Had trouble working the safe but overall a pleasant stay for one night.
