This hotel advertised that it had a shuttle to amd from the airport. It does not have a free shuttle service. So this cost me an extra $20 each way. The room was small. The breakfast was good, a typical Sleep Inn spread. I did not feel safe in the area.

I resorted to stay at the Sleep Inn after scrambling to get a hotel room for the night when Delta (Doesn't Ever Leave the Airport) decided to cancel all flights for the night due to weather (there was no weather event at that time or the rest of the night). As all the hotels were booked we were able to find this hotel about 4 miles away from JFK Airport.
I would recommend you take a black car service to make sure you get where you are going and safely. Not much to eat in the area but did manage to call Domino's and have them deliver.
Hotel was okay with being renovated inside and out. The reception people were very nice and helpful. Free WiFi in the rooms was a good touch. Rooms were renovated and so new that there was still plastic on some of them and in the bathroom. Beds slept good and flat screen was nice. Make sure you don't stay on the first floor due to outside windows are on the sidewalk - very noisy and people can see in.
