My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel after taking our son to Cornell. I would agree with Kitty in saying the room was horrible!! The smell of air freshner was so strong we could taste it. The desk chair was filthy and there were flies in our room as well. The furnishings were older and the room was very small. We could not believe they charged $194/night for such a disgusting room. After complaining to the owner, he reduced the charge to $154.00 but that was still way too much. We would have left but apparently all hotels within a 50 mile radius were sold out for that night. Suffice it to say we couldn't wait to get out of there!!

We chose to stay at this hotel mostly because it was AAA rated. I thought you should know that the place is a dump and I recommended that AAA take their endorsement off of it. Our room reeked of smoke, mildew and urine. Through no fault of our own, the toilet repeatedly backed up and didn't work. There were so many flies, I had to ask for a flyswatter - I must have killed at least two dozen and they were still swarming around. When we moved the nightstand to plug in a clock, we found an old discarded water bottle and piles of dried up Ramen noodles. Because of all the events going on that weekend, we could not find a room anywhere else in town, so we were stuck in that place. I managed to get the room at no charge after complaining to the manager, that was the only good thing about it. When you drive up, you can see it is not well cared for and that the hotel is falling apart.

I can't believe other reviewers said it was clean, and that they ate there - craziness! You could not pay me to eat the breakfast there. Gross.

The Rodeway Inn & Suites looks like a typical highway motel, luckily though, the place is very well kept and very clean. I was impressed by the overall cleanliness of the rooms and the daily housekeeping service.
The rooms come with everything you need including tea & coffee facilities, iron and board, fridge and freezer (!) and a newly refurbished bathroom.
Internet is also complimentary, the only disappointment might be breakfast which is very small and of poor quality. I'd suggest to take off a few dollars of the room rate and just not offer it. Anyway, you can always have breakfast in one of Ithaca's cute little café's!

Ivy league status means that Ithaca is a pricey city to visit. However, this motel allows one to stay in good clean accommodations at a reasonable price. Breakfast, internet, fridge are all there and everything is clean and in good repair.
