I'm a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding. The bride reserved a book of rooms. I called a month ago and was told they would call me right back. No callback. I called again a week later, explained I needed a room for this wedding, they told me they would call me right back. NO CALL BACK. Finally, two weeks later, I called again today and again they told me they would call back... I said, you've told me that twice now, I need to book for this wedding, and she said she promised to call back, but she had someone on the other line. Finally, she called back only to tell me that the block of rooms was now sold out. Meanwhile I called a month ago and it wasn't sold out then! She said the only option she had for me at this point was a pre-paid event (I had to pay in full) for $229/night with a 3-night minimum. Um, really? What's more, she didn't even know who the wedding party was... I gave her the name and she didn't have it "on file" even though it's the BRIDE'S name... Of course, there's no way I'm paying that much for a generic hotel room, where I can pay less at a beautiful bed and breakfast in the area. Worst customer service I've ever seen. Bride is FURIOUS.
