“Beautiful historic hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

This hotel is magnificent and well appointed. Beautifully renovated, preserving the old, but adding all the modern conveniences and comforts. Charming, without sacrifice. Beautiful tiles, arched brick ceilings, wrought iron balconies. Very friendly and helpful staff. In the middle of the historic section of the city which feels like being in Spain or many places in Europe. But, be advised that if you plan on sleeping before midnite, stay away from rooms facing the plaza, as the two bars below are VERY loud. Impossible to sleep, even though the view of the plaza from these roomes is tempting and charming. Queretaro is magical.

Room Tip: Do NOT be tempted to stay in a room facing the plaza, unless sleep is not important. The patio bars...

“Hotel in a Colonial Building on the Queretaro Square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2011

I have stayed in older hotels but this was the first one which was in a Mexican Colonial Landmark located on the Public Square of Queretaro.
The hotel does not have any public parking so my associates dropped me off at front. The lobby is marble with a large marble staircase going to second floor as well as an elevator.
There hotel did not have any exercise room or restaurants but Harry's, Continental Cuisine was part of the Hotel on the first floor fronting the square.
The room was nice, it was very large. The shower and toliet were in a small room with a sky light and the sink was when you walked in. The Bedroom had wardroves, small desk and balcony to the square.
There were two areas which I would have liked to see changed. For the cost of the room only two small bottles of water/day and some nights Harry's had a band to 10:30 pm on Wknites and 1:00 AM on week-ends.
The breakfast included was okay I wouldn't rate it very high. We ate Breakfast 3 days other than the Hotel and once there. There were no coffee pots in the room and the Wifi didn't work well but hotel furnished hub.
I had laundry done there and it was very reasonable.

“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2011

Nice hotel in a great location between the two main squares. Rooms were clean and spacious with small balconies over looking the square. Nice selecion of restaurants and bars close by. However, the buffet breakfast (if you can call it that) was exremely poor. What food there was was cold and there were not enough tables in the small dining room. We had to wait for people to leave. The staff were miserable. Really not worth eating there.

“Excelent Hotel, I got a new favorite in Queretaro!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2009

I just got back from a romatic escape with my wife and am very pleased I choose this hotel!

The hotel is right in the center inbetween the two largest "plazas", it is very clean and newly renovated and appears well run.

I took a "corner suite" that even though it looks over the less pritty plaza in the rear part of the hotel (plaza constitucion infront is beautiful) was an excellent choice as it was in perfect condition, large and nicely decorated (getting a 50" lcd is not common in Mexico!).

A nice detail was that the minibar is complementary! No hastles or surprises when checking out :)....

The restaurants were excellent for having a night time drink, with live music in both restaurants (jazz or latin, choose your poison), but the food is nothing spectacular and you'll find much nicer places to eat if you go to the smaller plaza that is 100 meters to the left of the entrance of the hotel (the name slips my mind, but it is very quaint and the food's great).

I have stayed in other hotels in Queretaro before, but after finding this combination of colonial style with modern designer interior in perfect condition I have found a winner!

It's not cheap (call to check their best prices, I got a 45% discount on the $230 usd rack rate) but you if you can afford you won't be dissapointed!
