We have stayed here a few times while at baseball tournaments nearby.We go here only if our preferred hotel (Springhill Suites) is fully booked.tThe rooms are small (Only one bed in a room as an only option,whihc is ROCK hard).Studio/1 bedroom really is the same size,only you have a door for a little more privacy.This hotel accepts pets,so if you cant get a sitter for your four legged friend,this may be a graet option for you.Also, it is right off 495, so easy access.And it has a huge movie theatre right next door and a couple of decent restaurants too that make it more appealing.Not awful,but I feel there are better options.

This was your typical residence inn: complimentary breakfast, complimentary light dinner. The room were good (it is almost time for rennovation), spacious, full size kitchen, livingroom, bathroom and bedroom (both the bedroom and living room have 32 inch flat screen tv). The hotel is near several restaurants and a movie theatre.

I stayed one night to see if tis hotel would be good for an upcoming business trip. I soon decided it was better for only short stay. The lobby is nice and the breakfast was fine. When I checked in the first room I got smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. I went back to the lobby to request a new room and the front desk staff was very accompdating, apologized (the hotel is supposed to be all non-smoking) and found me a new room right away.

The room was clean but needs updating. The carpets in the hallway looked like they hadnt been vaccuumed in a few days. All of the furniture was nicked up or had stains on it. The bed was fine but was in a tight space and the mattress was thin. The bathroom wall paper was peelng a bit but everything was clean.
The first floor carries the smell of the dinner though. I think it was chicken parm or something and it wafted through the hallways for literally the entire night, not so appetizing. It is convenient that there are restaurants and a movie theater in the same complex but there was nothing else that was convenient to get to (grocery, department stores, etc)
not bad, not great, just average!

We often have occassion to travel to LI to visit family. Now that we have a toddler, where we stay has become very important for our comfort level. We have been shopping around the different hotels in the area (we have family right around the Hotlsville area so the location of this hotel is perfect for us) and hands down, this is the best hotel we have found in many respects. We really like having a suite because it means we can put the baby to bed in the bedroom and my husband and I can stay up watching movies and hanging out in the living room. The rooms were very clean and not worn (must be a newer hotel). Bathroom was spacious for a hotel and clean enough that we felt comfortable giving our LO a bath. Walls were thick - we asked for a room that would be in a quiet spot and had no problems, even though a junior hockey team was staying somewhere in the hotel. Full kitchen is a great bonus allowing us to make our own food for us and the baby. Pool was clean and warm, although the air was very chilly. Staff was friendly and responsive when needed without being intrusive. Free hot breakfast was good and had enough choices. One downside - dining room is way too cramped, but we just brought the food back up to our room. Location is good - right next to movie theater, but there was surprisingly no noise. Also, you can walk to Chilis and a few others if that's your thing or, a quick 10 minute drive up the road and you can get good Italian take out at Momma Lombardi's. Also a 10-15 minute drive is the Long Island Game farm and even closer, the Holtsville Ecology Center - both great for kids. We also passed by a nice looking playground in Holbrook about 10 minutes away, which is another option. AAA rate was very reasonable for a spacious suite. We will definitely be staying here again and are thrilled to find a place we can stay at each time we visit LI! We joined the rewards program and got free snacks in addition to the free popcorn that was in the room.
