We just got back from a one night stay at this motel. Traveled up there from our house in the northern NYC suburbs for a week end of ski with our five and three year old. Our stay was just for a night in the middle of winter.
The physical building is really a classic (40's?) style motel, but with updates. Furnishings inside the room is actually much better than most motels, and is more in line with what you might see in a Sheraton, though much more quirky.
The room was clean, though the bathroom was somewhat dated (but I have to stress clean). I have to make a distinction here - the cleanliness was good, but the structure is definitely older, and service from the owner was excellent. Parking a bit of a hassle if you drive a larger vehicle (SUV).
One note on the minibar in the room - it was by far the least expensive minibar I have ever seen - large bottle of water was 75 cents, as was the full size candy bars.
Family friendly, and if you have young kids you can fit four people comfortably in one room with two double beds.
About a minute away from a couple of dining options in town, 5 minute drive to Catamount ski area. Free coffee in the am was great too.
