We needed a last minute reservation for 1 night on a Friday night and used the internet to find a location that had availability. This place is the only one that offers single night reservations during peak season, which made us suspect. We then researched it, saw the terrible review on this website and changed our minds. However, after we found another location curiosity made us go to the Hampton Star and check it out. If you like run down, cigarette smelling, moldy, stained, old and unattended motels then this is the place for you! When we pulled up no one was in the "office". One unit had the door open and what looked like some cleaning products outside. A man came out dripping sweat and said he was cleaning, but his sweat would have been enough to dirty up the joint anyway. The owner showed us a room when we asked to see one and it had stained carpet, unmatching quilts and dirty throws on the futon, the cabinets in the kitchenette area were hanging off the hinges, and it reeked. I wouldn't send an enemy there. I am not sure how this place is actually allowed to be in business. For $25 more, we found a beautiful, clean real Inn, just minutes away!
