At first glance this little place looks like a great run "Mom and Pops" kind of place. Not so. The owners have the house right next to the Motel and they sit in their windows and watch everyone like hawks! If you park wrong they are there to tell you in short order!

We paid 79.99 per night and 15.00 a day for a boat slip rental. The price is cheep! You get what you pay for! The rooms are straight out of the 70's! Wood paneling, gold linoleum and so on and so forth.

On our second night we walked into town and had a few drinks and came back to the hotel and sat out by the lake just enjoying the lake and the company. We went to bed around 11:30-12:00. The next morning I go to check out and I ask the owner what he would like me to do with my boat trailer. I told him that I would hook up and take it down to the lake parking. He said "thats fine but you are going to owe me another 10.00 bucks cause you and your friends were out till 1:30 in the morning making all sorts of racket and I don't like it!" Mind you we aren't 25 year old people! We were very quite and we weren't up @ that hour of the night! He went on to say and I quote "I am not doing you any favors, that seems fair to me." At that point what was I to do? My boat is in the water and all of my stuff is packed up and he has the only boat launch in Hammondsport! So I threw 10 bucks at him and left!

Many other guests complained of the same sort of things, hand written notes in rooms telling of their wrong doings, yelling at young children, you get the idea! This is a great place to say if you are a member of AARP! They will assume that you walk on air, speak very quite and have no children with you!

A cute Mom & Pop run brick motel right on the lake! No frills, but very clean & a short walk into town. Very quiet and relaxing. In fact the owners live right on the property and the ice machine is in the garage! Takes me back to my youth in the 50's & 60's when you pulled your car right up to the motel door, you felt safe & everyone was friendly. Also, just a short drive from several nice wineries around the lake & area.

I wish someone would give my sister (lisa) her money back! She deserves it! All she wanted was a good honeymoon and the Hammondsport Motel ruined that!!!!! Wet sheets, rude staff, and a musty room, along with a piece of crap matress do NOT make a good combination. Come on, that is not service, it's a hell hole!!!!

We selected this particular hotel for the convenience of boarding the SMS NARVICK for our wedding ceremony. We had a very nice tour of Keuka Lake and a small wedding ceremony with only close friends and family. I personally wanted the room to get dressed for my wedding day, Although we went to the motel 2 days in advance to inquire about the prices and being able to board the SMS NARVICK, the owners acted surprised to see us. After the ceremony, our wedding party exited the boat, and then the bride and groom along with 2 sons went on a private tour of Keuka Lake. We were dropped off at the port and then went out to eat, drop our sons off at granaparents house and went on to celebrate oyr honeymoon. We had one bottle of champagne and retired to our room around 1:00am. The temp of the room was ok so we slept on top of the blankets, Upon awakening in the early morning, the bride awoke to pull the covers back to get underneathe only to find damp sheets and mattress!!! The groom politely asked for another set of sheets and blanket, where he found the hotel clerk to be rude! (Owner) She said well you are up now you dont need fresh blankets, you must have partied too much and spilled something! Not the case at all! So, to avoid conflict, we politely packed up and left, The room was musty and I had to use my own air freshener. After waiting 2 days the bride called the motel to complain because she was still upset after spending 80 dollars on a dingy hotel with rude owners to ask for compensation for at least half the money back, The owner immediately became rude and offensive insinuating that we were balaming them for poring water on our bed! They said we should question our wedding party because they have witnesses saying that they were in and out of our room all nite! We were the only people there and were not in the room between 8:30 pm and 1:30 am!! Upon arriving I noticed some things out of place but dismissed it, now I believe someone (the owner) was in our room while we were out having our ceremony on Keuka Lake. This whole experience literally put a DAMPER ON OUR HONEYMOON! The owners are very rude and insulting!! DONT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!
