“Perfect winter weekend getaway!”

Stayed here for a weekend - perfect location to use as a base to explore the area, including the many wineries! Restaurants, bars, and shops are all in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Our room on the 3rd floor had a nice view of the water, and included a balcony with two chairs and a small table - would be perfect to enjoy once the weather is warmer! Breakfast was included with the room and was in a lovely breakfast room with high tables and large windows.

Only two small negatives - it would be nice to have the option of firmer pillows! The milk served with breakfast was sour one day, but that was quickly fixed once the staff was informed.

As the main purpose of our trip was to explore wineries, we appreciated that the hotel room was complete with refrigerator, wine glasses, champagne flutes, a nice ice bucket, a wine stand, and wine opener! Nice to know that the hotel thought of these special touches.

Would definitely recommend and we look forward to returning very soon!

This was a quintessential American experience for me as a fan of GG and I loved every moment. From the great rooms with comfy beds, fantastic bathrooms with every mod con and great decor to the wonderful welcome and service it was a truly great experience. A short walk to great coffee (and a cafe with an original coffee maker from Italy!) a funky wine bar called Noahs, fab clothing (and fab bag!) shops and the bus service. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely place.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony/verandah for gazing across the harbour, wine glass in hand!

“A glorious night on the harbor”

It was a great journey of a ride after having driven through the bountiful wine country of LI the day after the Halloween freak snow storm. Once we arrived at the inn it was all clear sailing. A luxurious room with a plush bathroom awaited us. They were both spacious, extremely clean and well appointed. Our bed couldn't have been more comfortable. The expansive view of the vast harbor overlooking Shelter Island was greatly appreciated from our lovely balcony. An extra bonus was the delightful buffet that greeted us in the morning in the front lobby that overlooked the town's many good restaurants for our other meals. It was a relaxing adventure and a great weekend.

Room Tip: In the back it was very quiet with a great view of the harbor.

“The Braddest Place in Town!!”

While not a traditional luxury hotel, the Harborfront Inn met all of our expectations and then some.

OVERALL
The hotel is clean, new and comfortable. We would not hesitate to return to the Harborfront Inn. The hotel was walking distance from all of the best places to visit in town.

STAFF
The staff is very kind and aims to please. The star of the group is BRAD. Not only did Brad check us in, but he talked us through the two rules of the hotel:
1- Don't break stuff
2- No parties in the hotel room
Those two rules changed our approach to staying in the hotel, as Greenport is known for its raucous, rockstar-like party scene. Brad was also knowledgeable about the local eateries as well as vineyards. He had some great recommendations for us. If you stay at the Harborfront, make sure you ask for Brad!

ROOM
Our room was on the ground floor of the hotel, facing the water. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was pretty high end, and the shower was amazing. We couldn't hear noise from any other neighboring rooms, even though the hotel was sold out the weekend we were there. The room also has a mini-fridge in case you want beer (and we sure did).

OTHER
The hotel offers a free breakfast spread in the morning, as well as coffee/beverages throughout the day. We thought this was a nice touch.

“Best Hotel in the Northfork!”

We consider the Harborfront Inn the best place to stay in the Northfork.....New accommodations,
"boutique hotel feel." We recommend a room with a balcony facing Shelter Island. You can watch the ferries at night...just beautiful!
