The room was clean and had a nice sized flat screen. There was a pool, hot tub and fitness center. The self serve breakfast included in the $99 price on a Saturday evening included several flavors and brands of yogurt, bagels with cream cheese or butter, make your own waffles with a blueberry and regular waffle batter dispenser and two belgium style waffle machines with a timer (give it 30 seconds less though), coffee, hot chocolate, tea, fresh apples, oranges and bananas, cereal and mile, muffins, eggs (mini premade omelets), sausage, toaster with toasting breads wheat and white and english muffin, etc. The breakfast for my family would have been quite a bit elsewhere, yet included here made the price quite the deal! There are beverage machines and snack machines (loaded with good choices and one that I had never seen was beef jerky snack bags) and free coffee all day. The lobby was nice and had couches to hang out on. The breakfast room was a nice size with a bunch of tables to eat at. The check in and out was quick. There were no hidden fees. The breakfast person (maintains the area well) and the housekeeping staff for the rooms were good at their job and we consider ourselves critical and felt this was a great place, and we will return there when back in the area. There was a shopping area down the street with a Wendys, Panera bread and other popular stores as well, and it's close to the highway. We stayed there by accident when the October Noreaster prevented us from going home. They claim if you don't have a toothbrush, razor, shaving cream, toothpaste, and other necessities, they will provide for free at the desk, and shampoo and soap are already in the room. The heat worked very well! The desk was large, had a personal coffee pot and a couple of chairs, with a sink inside and outside of the bathroom with the blowdryer outside the bathroom by the sink and mirror in case you want the next person to shower to start without you holding them up with blowdrying or makeup. The closet had a full sized mirror on the door. I was caught with the rating as a 4 or 5 because it's not a five star hotel kind of place like a typical Hilton might be, but for a less expensive place, it was perfect. The hotels by my house are not as good. Thank you Comfort Inn Ravena (Albany, Delmar area).
