“Surprisingly very good!!”

Approaching this place there is indeed a speedtrap. Goes from 50 to 30 to 50 but the road is clear, three lane and downhill all the way. Fortunately, didn't see a cop but was expecting to.
Check-in could not have been sketchier, at first appearance. But the guy turned out to be friendly and knowledgeable, he just wanted full payment up front.
The room was fine. It had comfortable beds, a TV with satellite, a good air-conditioner and a refrigerator. Outside noise was minimal.
Breakfast is coffee and pastries left out in the office but hey, this is a budget establishment.
We were on our way early next morning with no complaints.

“Fine for a night's sleep”

Word of warning (not about the hotel) - When coming off the turnpike, a good section of the road is 30 MPH...seems like it should be 50...the local PD loves to stake out the area for out of towners. Anyway - on to the hotel itself

The check in area seemed to be a little sketch, the operation was run off a laptop. Oter than that, it went smoothly

The Room: Was much bigger than expected, I think they gave me a suite, it had a fridge and microwave and a very nice tv. It was comfortable and spacious.
Check Out: There was no one there (around 7-8 AM) and there were a pile of room key cards. Out back the family seemed to be the cleaning staff as well (which is fine, just make sure someone is manning the front desk

Breakfast: A pot of coffee and some semi-frozen muffins. It'd be ok if they had someone manning it...perhaps the missing checkout clerk?

“No problems”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 March 2011

This place usually gets a bum rap on T.A....I've stayed here three times now and never had a problem. It ain't the Four Seasons, of course, but it was never bad, and now that it's renovated I felt that the room was as nice as any Comfort Inn, Days Inn or place of that ilk. The bathroom impressed me - all new, with granite countertops, granite shower and great wallpaper - it reminded me of a cheaper version of the brown/black/neutral Asian minimal Hotel Se in San Diego which is a place that actually goes big for decor...yes, folks, an EconoLodge reminded me of that. It was clean, quiet, and the breakfast was very limited but fresh. They also have more professional people at the desk now rather than the owner's kid. The one big drawback with the property is that it's in a semi-industrial area so it isn't scenic (truck trailers around, etc.) and they seem to be doing heavy work outside, so all sorts of junk is piled up behind the place...but hey, for a quick, quiet, clean stop right off I-87 for under $50.00 a night with standard big plasma tv, free wifi, fresh bagels and cream cheese, and pet privileges, you can't beat it.

“bait and switch”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2009

This motel advertises in the freeway fliers. But when we showed up, they gave us some bs excuse why they couldn't honor the $50 advertised price even though it was 11 p.m. They wanted $85. The owners seem to be living behind the office. Unkempt teenage son came to front desk. Noticed peeling paint on hotel room doors. Located in front of trucking facility. We left.

I would go to the Comfort Innup the road. But stay away from the Regency.

We have stayed at this place a couple of times as it is near relatives...it isn't elegant but I never found it to be dirty or noisy.
