The hotel is really big. Many rooms along a rather large pece of land. Clearly, structures are noit very new but rather well kept. Do not expect design and luxus however. Furniture is a bit old fashioned and not that elegant. The beach is, however, pretty nice and the villas and rooms which are in front of the beach have great views. Food is not that good. Lunch (à la carte) can be very good (ex. grilled fish). However, the evening buffet is pretty average. Breakfast is also average. Staff is generally kind and tries to be helpful. Rates too high for what you get. My real vote would be 3,5 (btwn average and very good)

Seychelles: blue ocean, white beaches, almost no traffic, friendly people, good food and an amazing rock formation of Hollywood Proportions.
Hawaii Island are rocking but Seychelles is more rough and pure though with all the infrastructure and luxury you need.

Don't expect the best of the best but the Lodge is part of the magnificent scenery.

One word: Unspoiled!

Staff would laugh as we walked by and talk in their language, not even noticing a 1.8 year old baby being cute and friendly. There is broken glass on the beach, make sure your room is fumigated and clean; if you leave it to them it won't
be. Oh yes, and their buffet restaurant is soiree for breakfast :) i was told that for that barefoot 10 dish buffet my singlet top was inappropriate.
10 to 12 euro per night for the chalet is realistic, instead of 460 euro.

We stayed in this hotel for 8 days. Room in Petit Village was comfortable. Don't expect fancy furniture, it is rather functional, but enough space and you will love the fresh flowers on your bed. Geckos run on the terrasse and may get into your room, don't be surprised. They are harmless and make a funny noise.
Kitchen is very good, breakfast is okay but the dinner is even better. Local dishes and fresh fish. Spicy but great. All this in a natural environment, you walk in sand when you are in the restaurant. (This means, you might find ants and birds can fly over your had, but I tell you, we are still alive.)
In the bar ask for the fresh fruit juices, they are the best.
Staff is very friendly, especially the men, no forced elegant manners but a nice word with everybody.
Pool is okay and garden is very nice. You have to know you cannot really swim on the beach in front of the hotel. You better rent a bike. A must is the boat tour around the island, search for Nevis he will show yo places you never dreamed of.
Do not expect busy nightlife, the island is very quiet, but it is very natural. Take a good camera, snorkeling equipment, beachwear, easy clothing and there you go. You will love it.
