We recently stayed at the Inn for two nights and had a very nice time. The grounds are very extensive, well manicured, and there are a lot of signs to direct you around. In addition, all of the amenities discussed on the website are easily available (kayaking, rowboating, bicycles, snowshoes, etc.). The food is very good and the service was extremely friendly. The rooms are very large, especially the Kingfisher, and the large whirlpool tub was excellent! The main floor of the manor house has several large dens, an extensive veranda, and a pool table, so there is plenty of room to relax within the house if getting outdoors is not your style. Overall, the main house is historic and decorated with a lot of antiques and unique pieces of art that give the house a cozy and relaxing feel; do not expect the feel of a modern boutique hotel. The Inn is a great place to stay, particularly if you take advantage of the many amenities it offers that are not usually available at a B&B.

It rained one of the days we were at the inn, so we did a drive around Sullivan county on the pottery tour and picked up some excellent bowls from some great local potters. I highly recommend if you are looking for some unique pieces to show off at a dinner party!

It was a wonderful stay, perfect in every way. The lake area is fully surrounded by woods and is very scenic. Indeed, a perfect restful get away for me and my husband. The inn is beautifully decorated with great amenities, extremely well maintained with attention to every detail. The service was superb, very friendly and caring. The breakfast was great too! Overall, a romantic and peaceful stay!!

Lovely, restful inn surrounded by woods and a very short walk to a beautiful lake. Dog friendly too. Our room was very nice, with a gas fireplace and jetted tub, as well as the usual amenities, and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.

We recently celebrated our 20th anniversary here over the Thanksgiving weekend. We were looking for a quiet, restful place to get away from it all. The Inn is by far the best place we have stayed for a tranquil, romantic get away. The whole area had a very “Southern Charm” feel that we have never experienced in any other stay in the northern states. We stayed in the Tack room. It had both rustic appeal and luxuries that made for a wonderful combination. The area is nature at its finest, with trails to the lake and all around the Inn. We hiked for hours stopping to admire the numerous streams, spillways, and lake. We spotted deer several times during our hike. The Inn served breakfast each day, which is included in the price of your room. While there were your typical breads and cereals, you could also choose a prepared breakfast. I must say the French toast was to die for!!! We now have a new favorite place and will definitely return!!!!
