I booked this hotel because I needed a place outside of Manhattan where I could stay that wouldn't charge me extra to park my car overnight. It is somewhat close to Laguardia, though not as close as some of the other hotels (that don't have great reviews either!). I read the reviews for this hotel on this website, and I admit, I was a little skeptical, but went for it anyway. I was really impressed, to say the least, at how pleasant it was to stay here! The staff, including the front desk personnel, shuttle driver, breakfast attendant and cleaning staff were ALL very professional and always willing to help. The rooms were clean and well decorated. The only criticism I have is the quality of the bath towels...they really need to upgrade them, and also maybe add heavier blankets. The breakfast was great, a step up from the standard complimentary cold breakfast. The shuttle service was excellent, convenient to the airport and car rental offices. Some reviews noted the less than stellar quality of the surrounding neighborhood, but I didn't find this to be a problem. It sits on the edge of a light industrial area, but to the north of the site along College Point Blvd there are plenty of shopping outlets and a more mixed neighborhood of businesses and residences, so it's not really in the middle of nowhere! Overall, I had a great stay, and recommend this place without hesitation.

Crappy industrial neighborhood, with nothing to eat, poor parking and it smells, and I mean smells bad. You feel like you're taking a chemical bath. The a/c smells like mold, and the faucet water smells like runoff from a chemical plant in Jersey.

It's deceiving because when you walk in, it appears nice. It seems modern, and the room with a quick glance looks clean. But then look closer. You find furniture that's stained, knicks in the wall, moldy caulk, peeling caulk and dirty carpet. Oh, and a door with a non-working deadbolt. You'd figure that's the very least in security options that you could ask for.

Me thinks not...but honestly for this area, what's it going to be? The Hampton Inn that's slept in every night, the 30+ year old Marriott LGA that smells of a different sort, or that former Crowne Plaza that's had Scabby the Rat parked outside for five years?

The staff generally seemed pleasant.

We chose this hotel for a one night stay before an early flight home from NYC. It is listed as an LGA airport hotel, and we found it to be one of the lower priced options. The free Internet access is appreciated.  It's over a mile away from a subway stop, so the cab ride from the city was pricey. The front desk staff was very friendly. I do wish the shuttle ran a bit more frequently.

Other choices likely better. Room not insulated - you hear every plane. AC is a blower va thermostat. I stayed here due to a free Marriott night.

Shuttle is accommodating. Driver knew great dim sum choice for breakfast.

Suggestion: flights cancelled and pickup became hectic. Easiest way to prioritize yourself in New York City = tip (gratuity).
