I found that this hotel met my needs perfectly. On my first trip to upstate New York on assignment, and being a big La Quinta Inn fan, I had to try this hotel. It's an older hotel that's been remodeled into a La Quinta, as far as I could tell. La Quinta is growing so quickly and it seems like they are remodeling a lot of older hotels to bring them into the family. The check-in was quick and I walked up a flight of stairs to my room. The room itself was nice and clean and more than big enough for my 2-day stay. It was super quiet in there and I didn't notice any adjacent room noise which was nice. The bed was great and everything worked perfectly. There is a restaurant connected to the hotel but I didn't try it and although it was late in the year it seemed to always have people in it.
The breakfast was like at most hotels with coffee/tea/juice and breads/bagels/muffins, oatmeal/cereal, etc. I drove to a Starbucks for my fix of dark roast coffee but everything at the hotel breakfast was good and well stocked. This hotel has a cool lobby area and there are a lot of interesting places to sit and relax. They also had great interior stairs which I love since I'm a fan of taking the stairs for some exercise.
I would definitely stay here again if I was in that area and would recommend it to others.
