We arrived really late on friday night and were greeted off the bat with our first little nugget of joy. The front desk attendendant reaked like an old bottle of stolies. The door at the back of the hotel was duct taped all over and didnt shut. My 10 year old daughter screamed in shock as a dirty sock and some dirty underwear were strewn about the hallway that reaked like cigarrettes and urine. The lights all had a dirty shade of yellow to them in this same hall way. We opened the room door and were greeted with a really nasty stench. The pillows and blankets were stained and dirty and not made. The floor had rusty nails coming out from under the bed. The bathroom had what appeared to be blood stains all over the place and the toilet was covered in pubic hair and was not flushed prior to our visit. My children and my wife and I all had to sleep in hoodies and full dress in order to avoid contracting parasites. The "breakfast" they offered had chunky milk and only offered 2 cereals which had parasites in them. The entire night we felt like we were in peril. Overall a stay at this hotel was a harrowing experience. Venture at your own risk.

This Super 8 was disgusting. My girlfriend got eaten alive by bed bugs. We were driving through and because there was a hot rod convention, this was the ONLY place to stay. We should have slept in the car. It has been a week and my girlfriend is still covered in the bites she got at the Super 8. We had to spend almost $100 on a doctors visit today to get medication because they were so bad. The towels (that must have originally been white) were brown. Let me say that I will never be able to convince her to save a little money at any of the hotels controlled by Super 8. This is my first time posting on any peer-rated travel site but her bites make it necessary to warn others about the atrocities of this motel! Also, the water was brown for nearly a minute when we turned the water on.

We stayed at Super8 East Syracuse (room #105) for 2 nights and regretted our choice. I travelled 31 days last summer on a bike trip from Illinois to California and stayed in all kind of hotels, motels and Bed and Breakfast but had never seen such a run down Super 8 like this one. The cleaning guy must have been having very serious eyesight problems or the owners don't want to invest in a good vaccum cleaner and general cleaning supplies because the bathroom had water left in the tub ( from cleaning or just rinsing) and there were hairs behind the bathroom door that were as old as me !!! the bed sheets were stained and really thin and there was a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the bedroom door and it was difficult to properly lock the door for the night. The screen in the window was broken so we could not open the window and just the general look was and cleanliness of the room was not inviting for sure. I definitely will never stay there again. I highly recommend the Hampton Inn across the road from this one. A world of difference from the Super8 !

Maid put rubbing alcohol in my contact case. When I confronted the front desk guy about it he refused to call the manager and said that I put the rubbing alcohol in my contact case. I walked away and called him an idiot and as I walked away he yelled, "Good Night, Skank!" UNBELIEVABLE!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER STAY HERE! NOT WORTH SAVING A BUCK! Also the room was really dirty. tub had hairs on it and had clearly not been cleaned in a long time.
