“The most obnoxious stay in this area”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2010

I stay here (and other hotels in the area) on a semi-regular basis. On previous occassions it's been average. I found out a year ago that they kept my credit/debit card information on file and asked them to take it off. A year later, I found out that they now maintained information for 2 of my credit/debit cards. Haven't there been enough people hacking into the credit card companies systems much less hacking into the hotel's systems? They also keep other personal information (room preferences) as well.

I had loud neighbors from 9 pm until 12:30 am and I had to ask customer service twice to talk to them. At 4:30 pm the next day my neighbors were loud too. They turned the music volume down after talking to customer service the first time though.

Other than this...it's an average motel. Room service once a week, cable channels (if that), no shampoo, your basic kitchen (stove, dishes, sink, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, fridge, etc.) is provided, no dish detergent in the room, iron board provided, and that's all the "positive" things I can say. Hope this helps.

“Nice staff, low-end hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2010

My company booked me here for a month stay. I'd never stay here on my own dime. The staff is terrific- genuinely friendly and accommodating -- and the hotel is clean, but it's low budget, bare bones, and everything is of the cheapest quality. There are zero amenities, aside from free Internet. There is no place to gather. There is no gym, no business center. The "fully equipped " kitchen consists of a two-burner top, one pot, one frying pan, a paring knife, and a few utensils from the dollar store. The maid comes once a week and does a desultory job at best --- literally passing a rag over the stove top and sink, but not actually cleaning either. You get two cheap, thin towels a week, unless you go to the desk and ask for more. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbor's TV and phone conversations. Also, there are construction workers living here permanently, and although they are not inconsiderate, thanks to the thin walls, floors, and ceilings you can hear every early-morning clump of their boots. The room is basic; the blankets and linens are also cheap and not warm enough. This hotel is inexpensive and basic. It's not a bad place. But I find it uncomfortable and wouldn't stay here if I had a choice.

“We Loved Our Stay at This Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 September 2010

We tried to get into this hotel for the first leg of our vacation drive up to N.H. but it was completely full, so we had to book a room elsewhere for that night. Our stay at the "second choice" hotel was absolutely horrible. We were thrilled to be able to get a room at the Extended Stay America on our way back home because the rooms are really clean, the bed (which my husband used) was very comfortable, and the kitchenette allowed us to save money by being able to cook in our room. The use of wi-fi was the icing on the cake, although there was a charge of $4.99 that covered a 30-day period. Also, due to my physical condition, I have to sleep in a recliner instead of in a bed, and this is the only hotel chain that even offers a recliner. We stayed in an Extended Stay America when we traveled in Georgia and now again in Syracuse, NY. We will never stay anywhere else!!!

“Convenient for budget minded traveler[s]”

Recently stayed here with multiple rooms for multiple families. The hotel isn't fancy by any means, understand that you are paying for a place to sleep with the benefit of a kitchenette in your room.

I appreciate that you can go onto priceline or travelocity and get hotels like this for very good rates. The hotel is pet friendly [with some considerations] and sits close enough to the airport so that you can see the planes taking off. You do hear a bit of air traffic, but not very much.

I always bring Lysol, or some other type of disinfectant spray because you never know what the people before you were like [but that is with any hotel, even the fancier ones]

“Done with this place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2009

I have stayed been staying at this motel for quite a few years. But, after the last stay, I'm done with this place. The city appears to be using this place to house welfare recipients. I found it very uncomfortable to walk past the open doors of the rooms that are obviously being used long term. Many unsavoury looking people in the hallways. Although, it was very quiet at night. What was once a great place to stay has been reduced to a motel that has been removed from my list of places to stay while in Syracuse.
