My wife and I spent one night here in November. Our room was very clean. The bathroom was also clean. Of course, the room was not new but everything was working proprely. This is not a "bed bug" hotel. The room was a bit small but that was fine with us. The only thing that we did not like was the strong perfume smell when we entered the room. We immediately started the the heating unit and opened the outside vent for fresh air and the smell dissipated. The included breakfast is minimal. Bagel, muffin, coffee, orange juice, oatmeal... No cereal, no milk and no fruit. But it was accpetable for this type of hotel. What we really liked about this hotel is its location. The hotel is surrounded by all kinds of restaurants. We really enjoyed Justin Grill. It is close to the airport, the Carrousel shopping centre. I would certainly recommend it for weekend shopping!

We only stayed here because we were experiencing car trouble and had not read the reviews! The tobacco smoke pong was dreadful in the non-smoking ground floor hallway.
Didn't try "breakfast", we ran out to Tim Horton's instead.
This place has to be renamed MicroSmell!

My wife stayed 2 nights early in October 2011. Over the years we have stayed at this Microtel many times. This location has gone way way down hill under the Indian family that currently runs it.
1. To save a few pennies on their heating bill they have screwed shut the AC units outside vents so even if you know how to pop off the AC cover and open the vent you can't do it, it is screwed shut. The AC unit merely recirculates the stale inside air, so all night you re-breath your own exhale.
2. My wife had dozens of Bed Bug bites.
3. They have become so cheap there is no milk at the free Breakfast so you have to use water on your breakfast cereal.
4. Nobody in their right mind would eat the breakfast pastries after reading the list of ingredients.
Do your self a big favor and stay away, it wont be long before they loose their franchise.
