It's amazing after reading some of the reviews on Tripadvisor's site what some people expect from mid-priced properties.

Flash: this ain't the plaza!

I've said before, never had problems at Candlewood Suites and this property is like the others.
Clean, quiet ( considerate guests) comfortable bed. Room to spread out.
Equipment in the exercise room works.

My girlfriends and I stayed at the Candlewood Suites for 2 nights in order to go shopping. The suite was not large and was a bit cramped for 5 people, but the price could not be beat. Although the room we were in was quite dated, the hotel room was clean and had all the amenities we required. We liked the fact that there was a bathroom for each of the two bedrooms. The only downside to the sleeping arrangements is that one person had to sleep on the pullout sofa bed - which was really an uncomfortable sleep. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Candlewood Suites, but will likely try somewhere else next time.

I stayed for business purposed weekdays for the month of May and June 2011. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I was there alone and always felt safe and secure. The staff on every shift I dealt with were fabulous and treated me respectfully. It was quiet, clean, efficient. Had all the things I needed for my extended stay. I was even helped with my luggage several times. They also accommodated me with early check in, my same room every week, my special requests for extras in the room. The free laundry and candlewood cupboard are an added bonus. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and stay there again in the future. Thanks so much. I love it there.

We often travel to Syracuse for weekend shopping trips and have recently stayed at this location because of the quality and the price. The location is not close to much but there are still a few good restaurants in the area. A regular suite was only $69 a night during the winter and recently rose to $89 but it is still a great buy. If you are a Priority Club member don't be surprised if you get upgraded to a one bedroom suite for the same price.
