“Great deal!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

The price was a bargain. The room was on the smaller side but it was extremely clean and the king bed was REALLY comfortable. I'm guessing it was a big foam from the feel of it. The bathroom was tiny but they had that curvy shower curtain bar which made showering pleasant (without the shower curtain touching you).

It was situated in the most convenient place out of traffic's way. Which we really loved.

The free Wifi was a fun added feature for the price we paid.

Last but not least, our most favorite thing about this hotel was its breakfast. They had 2 waffle irons, sausages and your standard continental breakfast items. You can take food into your room too if the place gets too crowded.

Finally, the hotel was quiet and our room was situated on the 1st floor of the hotel. Usually you'd expect it to be noisy but we were pleasantly surprised!

If you're looking for a bargain, i'd recommend this hotel! And I consider myself pretty picky.
But if you're a family of more than 3, I would possibly go for an hotel with a larger room (there was only 1 chair for the desk area and 1 chair for tv viewing).

Hope this review helped!

“Good Place to stay!”

We stayed again at the Quality Inn at East Syracuse. We were comfortable and it was quiet. It is easy to get on and off the freeway system and Thompson Road close by makes it easy to get to some of the main roads into the city. Staff was very nice and checked us in quickly. The only drawback was the breakfast room did not have enough tables and both days we had to stand or go back to our room.

Room Tip: We had a room in the back this time and a room in the front before. Both were fine.

“Just ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

We stayed at the Quality Inn for a weekend in October. It is well placed and near the highway. However, despite having called earlier in the day and asked for a quieter room, when we arrived around 9pm, we were given a room that faced directly onto the highway. The gentleman at the front desk managed to change rooms for us, into a room on the other side of the building but even that was pretty noisy. If you are a light sleeper, this hotel is not for you. Both rooms had a faint whiff of cigarette smoke covered up with room spray, but they were clean and the shower was great. The breakfast was good too. There are restaurants within walking distance and the area around is well kept.

“OK for the Price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We stayed in this hotel for a few nights recently. It was $89/night including breakfast. Although the rooms are in desperate need of updating, the beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was ok (waffles, cold cereal, baked goods, and cold boiled eggs), but who can complain about something that's free...
My biggest complaint was the customer service. The staff were not very professional. They seemed to be friendly with each other, but not to the guests. The front desk staff made me feel as though they were doing me a favor whenever I spoke with any of them.
I guess you get what you pay for...

“Decent service for a good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

We slept one night in this hotel in September 2011. The hotel offers a good ratio of service to price. Room décor is a typical, characteristic for Choice hotels. The room looked clean. I checked the bed cover under the sheets and it was clean. The room is of course small, but has a small desk, TV set, and an iron. Everything that you need for a night stay. It is s bit difficult to find this hotel, particularly at night and particularly if you do not have a GPS. We made it, with only one wrong turn. Do not take Thompson Road on the runabout (traffic circle) just after the tall plaza. Take the next exit—Carrier Parkway. This circle has actually five streets around its circumference, and this can create confusion. The hotel staff was very friendly. The guy gave us all information we needed. A computer in the lobby allowed us to print our boarding passes without any problems. There is a grocery store, open 24 hours, 3 km down Thompson Road. Yes, the one we took erroneously the previous night. The tall to go the airport—15 km¬— is only 20 cents, so do not hesitate to go on the NY thruway. The entrance is from the traffic circle. A decent breakfast is included in the hotel price—gofers, eggs, small meat balls, bagels, cheese jam, juice, coffee, tea. What more do you need? In summary, we were happy, and we recommend this hotel if you fly out of Syracuse. We paid a good price by booking on the Internet.
