I recently stayed at the East Hampton House like I did last year and I must say that the new manager (Helen) has really brought this place a long way in cleanliness. The room was so much cleaner this time around but the same front desk staff. Jeanne has worked there for so long that I think she is tired I was using the computer in the lobby and could hear her on her cellphone asking someone if they were stupid. First of when I walked in she was so busy on her phone that she did not even see me there. The place has come a long way in one year I usually stay there when I come out to do business for my company. Helen, Sandy and Cecile are real nice and friendly. If all your staff were that nice you would have outstanding reviews.

The value for the location was great! Service was wonderful. The women at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The room was pristine clean and the view from the balcony very relaxing. Excellent restuarants within walking distance. The beaches and the village are minutes away. I would love to come back with my husband and son in the summer!!

Spent 2 nights here in 2 room suite. Well appointed, with lovely gardens to rear. Opposite deli for breakfast /lunch and restaurant for dinner, but town walkable in 15 minutes for more choice. 15 mins from beach via roads full of millionaires homes. Cheap compared to Manhattan, out of season

They call it a "resort"...it's not. It's a 1950ish motel that happens to be in a good location without any significant competition due to the very limited number of alternatives. Rooms are somewhat dark and dingy, ceilings show evidence of past leaks. Excercise room is a joke. Problem is, aside from some very pricey Inns there are few alternatives as already noted. The beach pass that comes with your room is one of the few things of value here. And, oh yeah, if you want wi-fi you can have it....for $10 a day. Use the free computer in the lobby and save your money.
