We stayed at the East Hampton House from Christmas Eve to "Boxing Day." One can have misgivings about staying in a hotel for a holiday, especially in an area know as a Summer destination. In the end, it was very comfortable and welcoming. The weather was cold one night and this was not apparent in our room with adequate heat available. The staff were very friendly.
Our room was next to the front desk. It had a small well stocked kitchenette, nicely appointed bathroom and the room was set up with storage ottomans, couch and a good bed. My husband liked the gym and he gets to sample them quite often at various hotels. The surfaces, linens and furniture were very clean. There was a bistro table and chairs with place mats (small touches that count).
The building was right on Montauk Highway and easy to find. The parking lot and lawn provided some setback. It was a quiet time in town and the desk was closed at night. Our room had a set of very large sliding doors that opened to a lovely deck and the rear view of paths, gardens and other rooms. I imagine that it could be quite pleasant in warmer weather.
