“Very OK”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

I don't understand the negative reviews, what were they expecting? Yes, the breakfast could be better but what was out was OK. the room was clean and not more noisy than any other room of this type. If an idiot with a loud TV is next to you, you will hear noise.

Same thing with noise from the highway. If you stay at a hotel right off the ramp then guess what, you will hear traffic noise so don't be surprised.

Bring a pair of foam earplugs, a necessary part of travel, and get a good nights rest.

Yes, I would have liked to have paid $10 less but you really don't have many choices here. Family members stayed at the Comfort Inn across the street once before and liked this better.

Room Tip: No elevator so if you can't carry your bags upstairs, ask for a first floor room.

“Clean and comfortable.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

PROs:

Had an indoor pool and gym onsite, but didn't use either. Both were clean.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, a/c worked great.

Chairs were comfortable.

Free WiFi.

Bathroom and shower were clean and well stocked.

Hosts were friendly and professional.

Parking was ample.

CONs:

No elevator to second floor had to walk up with luggage.

No ice machine on the 2nd floor, did not check first floor.

Continental breakfast was fair as continental breakfasts go - the eggs were bland, pan steamed (I think) and cut into thin squares - ugh. The rest was dry cereal and milk, sausage, bread and english muffins for toasting. Fresh fruit, coffee and juice dispensers.

OVERALL:
Satisfied.

“Worst Hotel Experience Of My LIfe”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

Wall are paper thin. Neighbor in next room had TV on all night long, heard it clear as day even after they were asked by hotel management to lower it at midnight. Next Day, switched rooms, room and hallway smelled of smoke and had a dog barking. Again hotel management asked them to quiet dog, but kept barking. We finally had to check out at 10PM and Best Western Dunkirk Management was rude and refused to refund the night's stay.

Don't do it to yourself, many other nicer places to stay.

“Would stay there again, while a little pricy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

Very easy access to I-90. The temperature was controlled by a very efficient control panel on the wall. The shower accomodations were fantastic in the handicapped room - great shower head and plenty of room to move around. There was a very nice desk, comfortable chair, and a great 4-plug outlet at desk height on the wall - great for working on the computer. room refrigerator was very adequate and there was a nice coffee maker in the room. The 4 wheel luggage cart was very strong and easier to use than others we have had. The only thing in the room we didn't like was that the comfortable easy chair was not in a location where we could see the TV, meaning we had to sit on the bed to watch TV. That is hard on the back for older couples. The swimming pool was quite small. There was a fairly large choice of breakfast foods, with folded scrambled eggs and sausage included. The dining room was too small for 20 people at a time, which sent some people away. We liked the facility, but without a $50 gift certificate, we would not have stayed there. It was not worth $159 plus the luxury tax - we paid a lot less for a nicer Best Western in Pennsylvania this summer. However, if you need a motel in that area, and have the money, we would recommend this Best Western.

Room Tip: We had handicapped room, #117. The bathroom was large, but it would have been difficult to move a...

“Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

Easy location off I-90 convenient to Dunkirk and Fredonia. Rooms / bath not large but clean and fine. Liked the 3 pillows per queen beds and flat screen TV. No elevator to 2nd floor rooms. Refrig in room is great. Front desk staff were welcoming, fun and helpful. No laundry. Breakfast consists of yogurt, cereal, bagels, waffles - no eggs. Grocery & wine shop nearby. Ask for room away from I-90 for quiet. This is a great basic hotel room plus an indoor pool and a few extras.
