“Great family fun for all ages”

This lodge is located within the propery of Darien Lake Amusement Park. The Lodge itself is a bit older but looks fairly recently updated. The rooms are pretty standard accomodations but the public areas of the lodge are warm and inviting. The entrance has a nice fireplace with a big screened television surrounded by large rocking chairs and comfy couches for the guests to relax in at all hours. There is also a small snack bar area in the lobby, with pizzas and other goodies. There is a nice heated outdoor pool and a small baby pool. The property surrounding the lodge is quite lovely and leads around the lake right to the entrance of the amusement park. The price of the room includes unlimited entry into the amusement park for the duration of your stay. We stayed at the lodge toward the end of the season(October-lodge closes for the winter) and they offered many additional activities for the family, like face painting, crafts and pumpkin carving(all free of charge). Friendly staff and wonderful amusement park!

“Fantastic Family Vacation at a very reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2010

The hotel is average, room was large with LOTS of room and two queen size beds - very comfortable. The value is in the package deal - two nights with three days in the theme park and waterpark for three people for about $400. The best part is no long line ups for the rides! The kids went on more rides in two hours than they would in a whole day at Canada`s Wonderland. And we found a fantastic restaurant just two minutes down the road - The Pizza Pantry. Excellent family restaurant, great food and service, very reasonably priced with a lot of different menu selections. So good we went two nights in a row!

“If attending a concert @ Darien Lake, you can't beat the location of The Lodge on the Lake Hotel”

My sister and I went to see The Dave Matthews Band at Darien Lake PAC, and I thought instead of fighting traffic after the show and also risking a DWI, it would be wise for us to stay at a hotel. I had originally reserved The Econo Lodge in Corfu. I then went to the Darien Lake site to look at the map, when I decided to call and check if the hotel would be open for the night of the show. Luckily, it was! I was so happy, because we do like to have a few when going to a concert, and instead of one of us having to sacrifice by not drinking, we could both get 'crocked' if needed and not worry about a thing. And not only was it opened, but the price in comparison to the Econo Lodge for one night differed only by literally 6 cents, so it was a no-brainer! As far as the service goes, I can't really complain at all. When driving in to the property, you'll find gates with attendants that will ask you for your reservation number, so have that ready for a smooth and quick entrance. The attendant will then give you a parking permit to hang on your mirror in the lot. When we entered the hotel, the girls at the desk were super friendly and I loved the decor of the place. Everything was woodsy and had a wide open feeling. One thing I loved was the fact that there was plenty of luggage carts available to transport your items to and from the room. Also sliding glass front and back entrance doors to the hotel made it very easy to move in and out with items. Once we arrived in the room, I was satisfied. One thing that I did notice, which of course was not a big deal for me, was a huge tear in a curtain in one of the windows. I made sure to let them know of that right away. (Wouldn't want to get charged for that!) 2 big log beds, which I thought were cozy and clean with 4 fluffy pillows. There was also a pullout couch that would be very convenient if we had extra people or kids with us. TV is not a flat screen, but we weren't in the room long, and not any big deal for us. I like that the vanity/sink area was on the outside of the bathroom because it made getting ready for the show much easier for us. Not much else to add about the room, other than I did notice that it came equipped with plenty of extra towels and hand towels and also 2 extra pillows and blankets. The next day, we went downstairs and had breakfast at the little cafe and sat down at a table next to the fire. It was nice to have free WIFI in the lobby so we could check in to the airport while sipping on coffee. All in all we thought the hotel was great! I've stayed at more luxurious hotels and I certainly have stayed at worse. For us it was perfect, and if your planning on bring the kids to the park, it's perfect! I hope this helps.

I would go back in a second. It was perfect. The staff of the hotel were all amazing, (theme park staff not so much)
The food in the hotel was awesome, and inexpensive.
Laser Light Show is cool. Kids loved it.
Almost as nice as Great Wolf Lodge.

“Fabulous!”

This is a great place to stay and play!
The hotel was great and the water park and fun park amazing for all 3 of my children - aged 6, 9 and 12.
I got a great deal with 2 nights accomodation, entrance to the parks including for the whole day when we checked out, and 6 vouchers for 2 days (12 in total) to get lunch in the park for a great price direct with the hotel.
They had a lazer/firework display every night at 22.00 which was really good.
The only negative things were very minor - a bit noisy in the room from people walking in the corridor outside was one. The other was that the water park opened 30 minutes after the theme park and both are obviously open to people not staying at the hotel. The water park got very busy very quickly and there was no priority if you were at the hotel. We managed to get 2 sun beds but this wasn't really enough seeing as there were 6 of us!!
The water park area is split into 3 sperate areas which are not joined together although next to each other, so you will need flip flops if it is hot as the floor becomes very steamy!!

We all loved this hotel and would definately stay here again. It is only about 60 minutes to Niagara Falls from here which is so worth a visit.
