We got a really good deal through the Darien Lake facebook page - worked out to be cheaper to stay at the park than to buy tickets (cheapest I found was at the Peace Bridge Duty Free) and stay at a Motel 6 in buffalo..
The hotel lobby is really nice - check in was very quick, professional &friendly. Staying at the hotel in the park, means you get 2 days at the park instead of a single day. (You can show up any time after 10:30, register at the security booth, park your car at the hotel and go to the park until checkin) Then when you leave, you have use of the park for the entire day. (just leave your car at the hotel)
The hotel room (standard room) itself was very large, clean, and comfortable. 2 queen size beds and a pull out queen side couch. The TV seemed rather small (about a 32”) and only had about a dozen channels. The bathroom itself was small, but the sink & hairdryer were outside of the bathroom. This helps when you have a family of 4 to get ready to go to the park…
The hallways in the hotel were showing their age. The carpets were starting to get stringy around the edges & at the seams. They would do well replacing the carpets in the hallways.
Over all, I’d definitely bring my family back. Hopefully all the rides will be operating next time…
