We spent 4 nights here at the beginning of November while visiting our son in Ithaca and were happy to have a great experience. The housekeeping and maintenance departments were obviously well trained as the rooms were clean and everything worked as it should. The pool was warm and clean and the front desk staff helpful and courteous. The rate was quite reasonable and we will certainly stay here again on our next visit.

Overall my room had sticky carpeting and slick upholstery and filthy window treatments I turned the light switch on with my elbow and put the tv remote in a baggie before i picked it up. I am not ocd either. I never put my self under the covers and wore socks and shoes in the room. The curtain was broken so I couldn't even get fully comfortable because I was on the ground level. There was air freshener overdose and towels sculpted into animals. The cleaning folks should spend less time sculpting and spraying and more time cleaning. However in their defense no reasonable amount of effort would help this situation. This ramada has to be totally redone to come up to ramada standards. Now I will never go to another ramada ever unless i saw the place in person first. This is NOT likely to ever happen. What a waste of 108. dollars. I feel like I was tortured and my money was in essence flushed down the toilet. Let's not discuss the bathroom. Circa 1970=gross This is the "Bates Motel 2011" Ramada should be very very ashamed of this property and get rid of it. I expect to hear from management after taking the time to fill you in regarding this horror. Must be really scary on Halloween. Not even joking!!! Jane K. Valley Stream new york

I stayed in Cortland for a conference in Ithaca because all of the hotels in Ithaca were either booked solid or almost twice the price as the Ramada in Cortland. It was very clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The location was great, too - right off the interstate and very close to Ithaca. The phone in the room didn't work, but I didn't need it, so I didn't care. The only real problem was that the blackout curtains were sort of hidden from sight and therefore we had to deal with light from the parking lot lights and the giant Ramada sign lighting up our room all night. When we mentioned the problem to someone, they explained that the blackout curtains were actually behind the sheer curtains. Somehow my friend and I both missed them and lost sleep because of it. Our fault, not Ramada's!

We ended up at the Ramada after using the Priceline website late that afternoon -- what a great deal for a nice hotel. Easy parking, nice pool, good restaurant, and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Would have been nice to have an elevator, but one flight of stairs is not too onerous.
