Stayed there a few times when I was working in Corning. The last time I awoke in the middle of the night when I felt something crawling on my arm. Cockroach. I pushed it into an empty water bottle and brought it to the front desk in the morning. The gal behind the desk claimed it was a stinkbug, but as a 40+ year Manhattan resident, this man knows a roach when he sees one. Kind of a vague apology, at best.

The next day, I came back late, and saw two more when I turned on the light. Needless to say, last stay here for me. Place is getting a reputation as a "party" hotel is what I hear from others who work with me, and it's driving away the business people. I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Elmira now, and it's much better. Suggest you do the same.

We recently arrived to the hotel after a long drive, checked in at 1:30 AM. The clerk was affable and efficient. The room however did not appear to be clean. We had a 2BR suite with a sofa bed. The sheets, pillow and blanket for the sofa bed were definitely used, smelly and disgusting. We also noticed that the sheets from the bed were not that clean either, you could see an occasional hair and eyelash. I just wanted to go to sleep not conduct a room inspection at 2AM.

The beds creaked when you lied down on them, the mattresses were old and worn out.

On checkout, the clerk asked us if everything was OK. When I explained the situation to her. She said, "I am so sorry, well, have a nice day." Thanks, I felt a lot better...

We have stayed at Staybridge Suites in other places and usually seek them out. Until now they have always been great. Clearly this hotel has a problem with housekeeping, or lack thereof.

The hotel gave my kids the heebie-jeebies. We can't go back there.

Great location, and nice clean rooms. Staff was helpful & directed us to an awesome dinner spot. I agree with other reviewers - it's a bit of a maze, but that's not a negative. I guess that's why it was so quiet. We never head a sound from the other rooms. Bumpy mattress, but I'm sure they get changed out pretty frequently. Would certainly stay there again. Thanks folks for a nice visit.

I traveled here with my boyfriend to visit the Corning Glass museum. It is within walking distance to the museum which was a bonus. Parking was convinent. I love the fact that these are suites- it's so nice to have a living room and bedroom. The kitchen was great with a huge fridge and the room was clean. Enjoyed the free hot breakfast the next day- nothing special, but it was perfectly acceptable. The front desk gave good recommendations for local restuarants.
