We recently arrived to the hotel after a long drive, checked in at 1:30 AM. The clerk was affable and efficient. The room however did not appear to be clean. We had a 2BR suite with a sofa bed. The sheets, pillow and blanket for the sofa bed were definitely used, smelly and disgusting. We also noticed that the sheets from the bed were not that clean either, you could see an occasional hair and eyelash. I just wanted to go to sleep not conduct a room inspection at 2AM.
The beds creaked when you lied down on them, the mattresses were old and worn out.
On checkout, the clerk asked us if everything was OK. When I explained the situation to her. She said, "I am so sorry, well, have a nice day." Thanks, I felt a lot better...
We have stayed at Staybridge Suites in other places and usually seek them out. Until now they have always been great. Clearly this hotel has a problem with housekeeping, or lack thereof.
The hotel gave my kids the heebie-jeebies. We can't go back there.

I would like to apologize for the experiences that you had with us during your stay at the Staybridge Suites in Corning New York. As you stated it is not normal to have issues like that with one of our hotels and it is definitely not a typical characteristic of our hotel. We strive for excellence in cleanliness and customer service for all of our guests. It is apparent that we failed to meet your expectations during your stay.
I will be bringing your comments to the attention of my department heads to further train our staff and help prevent situations like this from happening again.
