Most motels have rather firm mattresses and that’s great -- I like a firm mattress, but ours at Lake ‘N Pines was ultra hard. Trying to sleep on my side I had to constantly turn from side to side to avoid very sore hips and shoulders. Their mattresses aren’t just firm, they are over the top rock hard. I got so desperate for comfort I even tried sleeping on top of my pillow. If you enjoy sleeping on a rock this is the place to go.

1. Room needs basic amenities such as a list of tv stations and a coffeemaker.
2. Needs a small table on balcony.
3. at these prices should have flat screen tv.
4. Won't extend 11 am checkout even for an hour.

Going strictly from the website, I expected a comfortable suite and access to the lake. We got charged more per night than the website quoted. The suite had a nice view of the lake but, that's the extent of my enjoyment of this place. The deck paint was peeling and besides a picnic table there were no chairs to sit and relax.
HARD mattress, hard foam pillows and very old polyester bed spreads. Very dated flimsy furniture. "Free Wifi"... I had to go outside and sit in the parking area to get a signal. There was one air conditioner in the wall in the living room of our suite but none in either bedroom. Very uncomfortable. The free breakfast was fine, nothing special but I did expect more than a bagel or cereal.
To sum up this review, I am very disappointed at the money we spent for what we got for the price. Again, thinking we could utilize the lake was a big part of why I chose this place. NO real lake usage here.

Sure it's a room with a bed, but the only good thing about this place is that it's clean. There's no water pressure; the towels, bedding, pillows are so thin that it's almost comical (plus the quality is frightening - your " towel" permits you to exfoliate & dry simultaneously after your drizzle); the sink, beds, chairs, etc., are from a1980s time warp (some of this stuff isn't even broke, yet); the free breakfast is so bad that it could be almost funny (there is nothing there that tastes remotely like food - I'm still puzzling over how they make dark brown water that doesn't even smell like coffee, but that's what it must be because that's what the label says on the pot). A few rooms have a lake view, but all are noisy because the walls are as thin as the towels. And please don't ever leave something behind because you'll never see it again even though the very "nice" front desk person will act concerned, it's just a smoke screen - they'll promise you they'll make every effort to return it to you, but the promises are much like their "coffee."
