Now mind you, that's "value for money" by Cooperstown standards. Almost anywhere else, this very basic spot would seem overpriced. But if you want to stay right in town here, you'll probably not do better. Photos on website are accurate. Clean, good housekeeping, paint job and carpeting looked recent, mattress acceptable, room lighting adequate, bathroom squeaky clean and well lit, shower pressure excellent, lots of hot water. Bar frig in room, nice flatscreen TV, free Wi-Fi but oddly, no phone, and therefore no phone book. Always can make good use of a phone book when visiting a new locality.

We enjoyed Cooperstown and would probably stay at this same place in future but one should be aware of certain limitations. While certainly "in town", the Mohican is not really close enough to town center that one could do without a car. Our unit was in a two-storey building that had eight other units. On the weekend of our stay, several of these other units had been taken over for some sort of group or family gathering, and we had major noise issues. Also, my wife (who suffers with allergies) found our unit very musty. Didn't bother me at all--just like Natty Bumppo's rustic cabin, right?--but choose your room carefully, the units in the one-storey building might have been preferable on these issues.

We stayed two nights over Labor Day weekend. The room, bathroom and area outside were all very clean. Our room had a new flat screen tv and new, small fridge. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and the lawn area. My only complaint is the condition of the mattress-our room really needed a new one. Our relative who stayed in another room said her bed was very comfortable. We all agreed that we would return for another stay. The rates were very reasonable and the location of the motel was very good. Its close to town and convenience stores. The staff was very nice too.

This little motel was comfy, clean and was in walking distance of the Main Street attractions and restaurants. Ond day I drove down to Main Street and could not find parking and traffic was awful. Drove back to the motel and walked back to town. Nice walk through quiet tree lined streets with lovely homes. Stopped at the AAA office and got maps and brochures about things to do in Cooperstown.
This motel was reasonably priced compared to the other motels and B&B's in the area. Sometimes one must realized that establishments in a tourist area only have a few months to make a profit and do not offer any discounts. The room was clean and quiet. Stewart's was a short walk down the street to get coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Bought it back to my room and sat outside on the bench and enjoyed breakfast.
Would stay again.

The room was nice and clean, and reasonably priced (have you seen Cooperstown's prices?!?). And really, what else matters?
