We needed a pet friendly place to say, so we just picked it.
What a great find. We felt like we were in a big apartment in the woods.
We booked a suite with 2 bedrooms .
To our surprise there was a full kitchen and large living room area.

We had friends we were traveling with. They were staying at a very pricey place with horrible
food. They have 4 kids and needed a room for there last night in town.Eric and Lynn (the owners) placed them in a beautiful house. You had to see it to believe it. 4-5 bedrooms and baths, huge living room, big wood burning stove in the fireplace, pretty rugs...... I could go on and on.

It's a 8 minute drive from the center of town. If you want peace and quite lots of space and a great host this is the place for you.

What a pleasant place this was! It's an unusual property, more like a bed and breakfast (without the breakfast) than a hotel. Several units are spread across a few different buildings. We stayed in the Cooper Suite, a two-room suite with a small living room and a much bigger bedroom with two beds and an attached bathroom. Very quite, very private, wooded property with a nice view. We met only the husband of the couple who are the owners. He is an artist, and his work is all over the place. He was very friendly and very helpful. The price was very reasonable. The rural location is about 3 miles from the center of town. My wife thought the bathroom was a touch musty (it rained a lot the day we arrived), but I didn't notice anything. Overall, this is a great value. We both really liked it and would be glad to stay there again in the future.

I was looking for a place for 2 adults and a dog and was unable to find anything in Cooperstown proper, so we decided to take a flyer on this place. Boy are we glad we did! They took the dog almost gleefully, and the place itself was fantastic. The rooms are more like guest rooms in someone's house than hotel rooms. I don't know how to put it any better than that. Comfortable, quaint, warm-feeling rooms with a pool (which we didn't use, it was October) and plenty of room to roam for the dog.

It's a 5-minute drive from town, and the scenery and the landscape are just fantastic. The owner even gave us some prints of his own artwork as a gift (which he says he gives to everyone who stays there).

I really can't say enough good things about this place. We will without any doubt be regular visitors!

(Oh, did I mention how inexpensive it was, too?)

Reasonable and pleasant accommodations at Gateway Inn. My friends and I stayed at the Texas Leaguer and Rookie’s Corner rooms –it was clean and fully stocked with most amenities you would find in a big chain hotel (they even have a microwave!). I must also mentioned the numerous channels offered on television it was nice to flip through the channels when we were secluded in our room due to the snow and everything in town was closed.

Location was approximately 3.4 miles away from Cooperstown where we did most of our exploring. It seems Gateway Inn is centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. The price for the room was great considering other hotels and inns were charging almost an arm and a leg just for a one night stay. The owner, Eric, was friendly and distributed his work of art which were illustrated on the postcards he gave to me.

The only complaint was the walls were too thin and I could hear my friends from the other room. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends.
