Pros: scenic view of Lake Otsego out huge picture window, refrigerator in the room, and digital cable

Cons: musty smell, mattress way too firm, bathroom had tiny shower and wobbly toilet

Overall: our needs were met and the price is competitive with other hotels and inns in the area, especially during the peak of summer-time visits to the Hall of Fame. still, the musty smell + mattress that was not conducive to a good night's sleep would have us looking elsewhere next time.

This is a property that I would be sure to ask to see the room before checking in. The standards of cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. It is an older place, but this is not an excuse for poor housekeeping. The BR sink had scum around the faucet which needed to be scrubbed. The basin was not cleaned any of the 4 days. You must put the clean now sign on your door to get any cleaning at all.

The desk staff were friendly and nice: The cleaners lazy and willing only to give the 'appearance of housekeeping'.

Can't speak highly enough about this Inn. Very comfortable and good proximity to Cooperstown. Very accomodating staff. Fabulous view of Lake Otsego. AM hot water a little spotty, but just shower a little later and it's fine. I've already recommended this Inn to friends for the baseball tournaments.

I stayed 2 nights at this motel, which is about 5 miles from Cooperstown. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. It's located on a very pretty lake. If you're going to the Baseball Hall of Fame, it's not really convenient, but it's much cheaper than the hotels in Cooperstown. So it's a tradeoff.
I'd stay there again.
