My husband and I stayed at 2 Chestnut for three nights at the end of June 2007, opting for this over the Otesaga Hotel, the beautiful grand hotel on the lake across the street. We have come to Cooperstown for an annual meeting at the Otesaga and just wanted something different! We were not disappointed! 2 Chestnut is a beautiful Victorian B&B that has been nicely furnished and decorated. The innkeepers, brother and sister, were very accommodating and helpful. Full breakfast served every morning, cooked how you like it. Rooms and baths were very clean. We stayed 2 nights in one room on the second floor, the third on the third floor (we knew this ahead of time). My only complaint was that we were awakened early one morning during our stay on the second floor by the sound of creaking floorboards above us, so I would recommend the third floor rooms if you plan to sleep in. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would definitely return. Easy walk into town to the Baseball Hall of Fame, farmer's market Saturday morning, and shops and restaurants. Farmer's Museum is about a mile up the road along the lake.
