My boyfriend and I stayed at the Lake View Motel for one night while visiting Cooperstown and the Baseball HOF. We were given a King room on the ground floor. Like another reviewer noted, this is not the fanciest place in the world, however, it is EXTREMELY clean. If you care more about comfort/cleanliness than trendy decorations, this is the spot for you.
The view of Otsego lake was incredible, they have lounge chairs and tables set up along the property, making it easy to sit and relax. It was a bit too cold to go swimming but I can tell the lake would be very enjoyable in the hot summer months. The motel is an easy 5-10 minute drive into downtown Cooperstown. I found the staff to be very friendly. I would definitely recommend the Lake View if you are planning a visit to the area.

If you are going to Cooperstown, this is the place to stay. It was right on the Lake with a beautiful view. It was only 5 minutes to the town. They have a great package deal just call and speak to them. The rooms are huge and immaculate! We will be back for sure!

This is not the nicest place you'll ever stay in. But if you are looking for a clean hotel only a few minutes walk away from the Baseball Hall of Fame, this is a great place. It wasn't cheap, but you aren't paying for luxury accommodations. But the hotel is right on the lake, seems to have been newly renovated and one block away from the Hall of Fame. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant there which wasn't bad. The room kind of seemed like a high end trailer, but everything was clean, the room was spacious, and we had a private balcony overlooking the lake.

We were a couple who spent 3 nights in a queen motel room. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The grounds were kept up well and the motel had a lovely view of the lake. There are lots of places to sit. Unfortunately, for us, the kids (and parents) invaded the beach, docks, and swimming areas when we wanted to swim, so we weren't able to get in the water because it was so crowded. At times, however, the beach and swimming area was deserted. Our air conditioner was noisy. The ice machine was broken when we wanted ice, although it had been working earlier. This place is great for families with children.
