This past April, we spent several days in Cooperstown New York which is known for being the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame. We stayed at The Cooper Inn at the recommendation of a coworker. Staying at The Cooper Inn added to the ambiance of a very pleasant vacation. Situated on Chestnut Street just off Main Street, The Cooper Inn places you in short walking distance to the Baseball Hall of Fame, restaurants, and baseball shops in town, yet it is recessed back from the streets. This allows you the convenience to drop off packages or get a jacket without needing to use your car. The Cooper Inn has a historic atmosphere with a modern bathroom and flat screen TV. We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was very nice and very clean. The continental breakfast was better than I expected with tables in a cozy room with a fireplace. Styrofoam cups and lids are available to bring coffee back to the room. The staff at the Cooper Inn is exceptional, very friendly, and helpful. They answered all my questions about Cooperstown, recommended restaurants, and gave directions to attractions in the area. One staff person, in particular, told me where an attendant pumping gas station was located and explained how the stream runs behind the Inn. We enjoyed our stay so much that I purchased a Cooper Inn Christmas ornament. We hope to return to Cooperstown in the near future. We could not conceive of a future trip to Cooperstown that did not include staying at The Cooper Inn.
