“Great location for shopping”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

We stayed here for 2 nights while on a weekend shopping trip. Very close to Walden Galleria, in fact it was in the same parking lot as the mall. Short drive to other malls and more shopping. The hotel lobby was very nice and the majority of the hotel was great.
We had a main floor, pool side room which was a little outdated but still nice. The pool at this hotel is probably the nicest I have ever seen with amazing indoor tropical trees, however it was very busy most of the weekend. I think the hotel rents the pool out for kids birthday parties. My husband waited to go swimming till the kids were all gone, but they did not leave until 10 and that is when the pool closed. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend getaway to lay around the pool, this would not be the place or suggestion is to go during the week.
Overall this was a great hotel!

Thank you for your kind review! Yes, we are in the same parking lot as the mall...we are so happy to share that space with the largest shopping mall in Western New York! Our pool is a favorite among so many of our guests. However, we do not rent it out for parties. The pool can only be utilized by our overnight guests only. Thank you for taking the time to share positive comments with TripAdvisor. We truly appreciate your time and effort on our behalf!

“Luckily, the neighbours weren't too loud”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Location - conveniently located beside the Walden Galleria and a short drive to the Buffalo airport.
Room - spacious, a little worn-looking, but was clean. However, the walls are paper-thin and luckily, our neighbours weren't too loud. We could practically hear their conversation and country music but this ended by 10 pm. Bathroom is typically small. Our room had a nice balcony facing the indoor courtyard, at the other end of the pool so far enough that we couldn't hear the kids playing in the pool.
Check-in - no problem.
Price - paid about 40% off regular rate from Priceline. However, the price did not include their Park 'n' Fly package i.e. free airport shuttle and leaving car at the hotel while on vacation.
Our family of 3 were only there for 1 night and were only there to sleep before our morning flight out. It did the trick and was acceptable.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from courtyard pool.

Hello and thank you for the 'low-down' on your stay with us! We are glad you were satisfied and that you found our hotel to be so clean. The Courtyard rooms you stayed in are among the favorites of many guests! We are sorry for the noise from the next room. We do our best to control those types of issues. Please come again soon and take advantage of our Park & Fly Package! It's a tremendous deal!

“The WORST hotel I ever stayed at”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This hotel was old, dirty and the service people were rude. A non smoking hotel and all we smelled was smoke. I complained and complained. It was not resolved. The room next to us the people were drunk, loud and smoking. I could not sleep and was beside myself with exhaustion the next AM. as we needed to catch an early flight. The hotel shuttle was taking up the whole over hang outside. We had many pieces of luggage as there was 5 of us. (Using 2 disgusting rooms for 3 nights). The weather was awful and the shuttle driver would not move up and swore at us when we complained. He was waiting to take a flight crew to the airport and refused to move until they all came out. Not only did he NOT help with our bags but hindered our departure. It was UNBELIEVABLE. Upon return home I complained to corporate and they gave me a free night to the Buffalo hotel and no reason or apology. AS IF WE WOULD EVER GO THERE AGAIN. WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED AT!!!!

Room Tip: GO somewhere else.

“Not your typical Millennium Hotel”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

This is my first time staying in a Millennium/Copthorne Hotel Group property in the US, I usually have good stays when I check into the the Millennium hotels in Asia, so I decided to give it a try when I visited Buffalo with my family.
Well this is definitely not your typical Millennium Hotel in Asia or Middle East, the building has seen its better days, the lobby was fine, but our rooms definitely looked outdated. Our party of four requested two connecting rooms, they could not accommodate that, which is no big deal. The front desk staff were polite enough though.
Our rooms looked dark and grim, and it was not much help even after opening the curtains. Maybe it was because of the weather I guess. Or maybe we weren't assigned the renovated rooms.
Now I am not sure if I should give other Millennium Hotels a try when I come across one in the US next time.

Hello Jason! We are sorry you were disappointed in your room accommodations. We are happy to report, however, that our upcoming renovation should meet (and perhaps exceed!) your expectations. Please stay tuned and check our web site for updates. Also, with regard to our sister hotels in the US, please know we have beautiful hotels here and they are in wonderful and exciting cities: Boston, Chicago, LA, New York City, Scottsdale, St Louis, to name a few. Please visit the Millennium Knickerbocker in your home city of Chicago! You won't be disappointed! Thank you for your review and visit us again soon!

“One nighter”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I booked the Millenium through Priceline and got a very good deal. My wife arrived and had little problem checking in. Everything went well. She was actually given one of the remodeled rooms on a higher floor. She enjoyed her stay.
However, she called down to the front desk to ask about being able to connect our portable dvd up to the tv and was told that function had been removed.
Now, I understand that hotels want you to purchase their overpriced services to increase the rooms profit. But really??? This was disappointing. Apparently, the lady my wife originally spoke to was not the most pleasant. But she did receive a follow-up call to ensure the rest of her stay was pleasant.
Overall, my wife enjoyed her stay and this evening was far more enjoyable then previous stays (please see previous posts). However, I still believe this hotel is only worthwhile for a great price and if you are flexible in the type of room you may receive. This was a weeknight.

Hello Eric! Thank you for your review. We are so glad to hear your wife enjoyed her stay. Regarding the portable DVD, unfortunately it is not compatible with our in-house movie provider. This has been the case for several years. We are sorry for that inconvenience. Thank you for continuing to advise us on the quality of your stays. We look forward to your feedback on our upcoming renovation!
