We stayed at this Residence Inn on our way to Upstate New York, and five days later on our way home. Our first room was fantastic, a two room suite; very clean, fairly quiet except for highway noise which you can no longer drown out with the central fan as they don't allow you to control that, (the whole "green" thing). We noticed on our way down the hallway that someone was SMOKING in this non-smoking hotel, but no one at the front desk ever wants to confront that issue. Well, on our way back we got the room that had been smoked in, you could tell because the Febreeze about knocked you out. The room, another two room suite, #310 if your ever assigned that room, is SOOOOOOOOOO nasty. The carept is absolutely filthy, stains EVERYWHERE, the chair in the living room has been tore apart by a cat, and while yes the room was clean, we were terribly disappointed to find this after such a good experience in #304. As a Marriott Rewards member, this room was extremely disappointing and embarrassing. To top it off my wife got "locked" out of our room in the sense that a screw was loose in the flip lock and while she could unlock the door with her key, she could not open the door because the knob on the lock got hung up on the loose screw. Thank goodness I was inside the room. On a positive note, the laundry room is great.
Room Tip: Do Not let them give your room #310.
