“FRIENDLY AND CARING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

Where do I begin ? Everything about the Brae Loch from the name to the staff to the atmosphere says, "Stay, stay , stay ! " You most certainly do not want to leave because you know you are being well taken care of and everyone is friendly and courteous and accommodating ! Indeed, Robert Burns might as well have been writing about the Brae Loch when he penned, " And fare thee weel, my only love.
And fare thee weel awhile!
And I will come again, my love,
Though is were ten thouand mile,"

“Romance Gone Awry”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

The Brae Loch Inn is very beautiful, but I was surprised to receive a phone call regarding some water that was apparently leaking from our room. While there was no evidence of water in the room, the staff still proceeded to turn off the water for our jacuzzi. This occurred after they had finished interrogating me over the phone. It was irritating, to say the least. We then had to go through a rigmarole process to get the water turned back on later in the evening. This process included multiple trips downstairs, as they do not answer the phone after 9:00 PM. This was quite a detraction from the experience -- particularly given the fact that we had spent extra money on one of their "romantic getaway" packages. Romance? I think not.

“Great Place!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

We stayed in room 11 which had a great canopy bed, wood burning fireplace, and spacious bathroom. The bar area is a wonderful place to relax. There are many rooms in the bar where you can sit with friends in a more private area and converse including a room with a fireplace. This is a great place to spend a relaxing weekend!

“Relaxing stay - huge room - excellent meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

Enjoyed a nice get-a-way on a Friday night - everything was great from the complimentary 12 year old scotch at check in, the room - large room, very comfortable bed and leather recliner, flat screen lcd tv, great meal in the restaurant and the band playing at the bar, with seating in front of the fire place.

Plan on returning again

Room Tip: your choice between a room with a fire place or a room with a jacuzzi

“Charming!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2011

This Inn is simply charming! The staff is so warm and friendly from my first phone call to our departure. We ate dinner in the lower level, the food was wonderful, cozy near a fireplace and there was live music. The next morning it was relaxing to have coffee in front of the fireplace and read the paper before breakfast. Our room was nice. The only negative comment I would make is the therapeutic bed was not so comfortable to me and the Inn should invest in nicer bedding.
