We stayed for two days before the Catskill game farm closed down. My kids still ask to stay there when we go to my parents. It is a very clean, functional motel. It was great for the kids they like the pool and the game room. It is what I remember going to that Catskills and staying at the hunting lodge my father used in the fall. The restaurant next door is alright it is a pinch.

It was a nice little place, very kitschy (game room with 80s games, wood paneling in room) while at the same time it had wireless internet. Overall, a nice, inexpensive place on the edge of the Catskill Park. I'd recommend maybe avoiding the restaurant next door if you can manage it, but to be fair, we only had one meal there, but it wasn't very good.

While looking for a place in close to proximity to Clermont State Historic Site near Germantown, New York, I came across this place and decided to give it a try. We reserved all our motel rooms ahead of time for a two-week, historic siteseeing trip, part of it through the Hudson Valley/Catskill Mountain area of New York State. There was a minor mix-up upon our arrival at this motel but the owners quickly fixed and arranged our accomodations with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. They are good people. That is the main reason I recommend the motel to anyone traveling through the area. In an area that has both decent looking and scary motels smattered along a backroad area, this motel was very nice, was accompanied by a very nice Italian/family style restaurant right next door, and provided very nice value for the cost. And it is always nice to see and support family-run services in this age of corporate and franchise control of everything. Especially when people are polite and down-to-earth and professional, as these were.

My family and I stayed there because of the afforable prices and location. Overall everything was very clean, neat & enjoyable. What we enjoyed the most was the pool and playground. I would only make a few recommendations to make the stay even better. It would be nice if there was a sandbox for the little ones and more to do in the game room for teens (perhaps air hockey &/or ping pong). I would also recommend more comfortable bedding and possibly extra pillows.
