Based on the rental rates, I was hesitant to stay here. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was very large. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable about the area restaurants. I am definately staying here again. The weight room was A+. Breakfast was the standard donuts and coffee.
Overall the experience was very enjoyable.

This hotel was just average. It is pretty old and could use some serious updates. Room was average, cleaniness was average, bed was average and breakfast was average. I paid $135.00 for one person which I thought was overpriced. I was in the area on business and didn't have much choice since Canton is a very small town.

We stayed here while doing college visits with two teens. We had a room with 2 double beds. The surprise of finding a sofa bed (with sheets already on it) was a very nice surprise (don't ask teens to share a bed!).

The room was nice and large, the beds comfy. The only disappointment at this hotel were the rec facilities. The hot tub was only warm. The pool area is looking tired (missing blinds, a coat of paint needed). The sauna wouldn't warm up. One of the treadmills was working, although the other one was a hit with my 18 year old.

Breakfast was adequate. The scrambled eggs were only warm. But the coffee was hot.

Yes, I would stay here again. Fix up the rec area and this would be a terrific place to stay. Oh yes, we could have used a TV channel guide in the room too.

The Comfort Suites, while perhaps a bit worn, and the rooms slightly out of date, they are far better than the Best Western down the street is. The hotel is much newer, the beds much more comfortable and the rooms more spacious and clean. The only grip I have is that the Comfort Suites does not have a real desk to work at, they have a little table. Hard to work from the laptop.

Regardless, if work brings you to Canton/Potsdam, I would stay here over the Best Western in a heartbeat. Seeing these are the hotel 2 hotels in the area, there's not much other choice.
