We booked our stay months in advance as we planned a trip to visit our daughter and family in the midwest. The information and pictures online looked nice and they even sent us a brochure and confirmation of stay in the mail and it seemed great----UNTIL we actually drove up and saw it. It looked old, creepy and run down right from the beginning. If it hadn't been so late in the day, we definitely would have driven on. Our room ended up looking like one of the "projects" in an inner city. We told the office that we wanted another room closer to the office so they gave us the room right next door to the office. It was really in horrible shape: smelled heavily of smoke, broken down bed, old crummy furniture, filthy bathroom floor (I kept looking around for bugs), old fashioned shower and TV, and a door that led to the room next door that did not lock.. I did not sleep at all and counted down the hours until we could leave in the morning. The brochure sent to us and the pictures online of the buildings, activity center, and swimming pool were very deceiving. Apparently, 20 years ago this place was probably very nice---but it isn't now. SERIOUSLY!!!!! DON'T STAY THERE! YOU WILL BE DEVESTATINGLY DISAPPOINTED!!

Although we're experienced travelers, we made the rookie mistake of booking here before reading the reviews. Dead bugs littered the room's (indoor) entryway. No hairdryer or clock, but plenty of electrical outlets and a fairly quiet air-conditioner. This non-smoking room's blankets had cigarette holes. The kicker: housekeeping didn't empty our trash on two consecutive days! The first time we took the trash bag to the front desk, and the following day we tossed it in a nearby dumpster. This place is way overpriced- if you want a clean budget motel try one of the non-chain locally owned establishments. I guess that's where the smart folks were, because this motel had very few guests.

I was a little leary about staying there after reading the previous reviews. Girl at desk tried togive us a queen size room after I had reserved a king. She quickly remedied that.
Bed was too soft and there were not enough towels in the bathroom for two people to take a shower. Otherwise room was clean and good for a one night stay.

Was in main building by office - we had 3 rooms - all clean with decent linens - quiet and comfortable. Much better than last visit in bldg 3 where noise comes right thru walls,carpet dirty etc . Disappointed that advertised pool table was unavailable as we were looking forward to some friendly fun. Breakfast was tiny donuts - good if you are on a diet. Plus was that girl at desk and housekeeper were both extremely courteous and helpful. Would recommend if only in main bldg.
