This place is the pits!!. The blankets smelled of smoke (in a non smoking room), the A/C hardly worked although it did make alot of noise, the place was littered with dead bugs, old furniture, light bulbs blown out, needs a good painting, smells moldy and musty, water pressure was poor, pillows were either matted down or lumpy. Complaining to the front desk resulted in little or no action.Don't even consider this place!!!! Run while you can

The building we were in was undergoing some kind of construction to the exterior (which really needed it). We made our way up the stairs (treads were very narrow) to our room. I was a bit concerned about the strength of the door, but it did have a deadbolt. The room was a good size and had a fridge. The bathroom was pretty small (toilet and shower stall). Don't try to shower with another person. Trust me on this one. :) I did find carpenter ants in the bathroom, but only a couple, not an infestation. The room was a bit musty smelling. The A/C was kind of working (cool air was coming out but the room never really go cool enough), but it was really loud and the cover on the controls rattled so much we were stuffing washcloths around it. We didn't use the internet. The tv was good for background noise, but the picture was green. As far as noise, even though the motel was full, we never heard anyone. One night there was a person charging a fee for concert goers to park in our parking lot. Luckily, we were gone until after the concert was over but I'm not sure how much of our parking lot they occupied.

The location was good. It was a very short drive to the pier, Wegmans, Starbucks, and downtown.

Shower head trickled water. Fan in Bathroom only worked for about 10 Secs. Wireless only connected at 1mbs and I was in the middle of the property. Hard wired internet kept dropping after a couple of seconds to come back on immediately. Called for a Plunger and it took over 1 1/2 hours to get it to the room. The staff said they only had 1 in the building. My smoking room didnt smell that bad, but my freinds non-smoking room smelled of smoke worse than mine. Activity center closed at 8 pm and the pool at Dusk. Used to be student housing.

I was really worried about staying here to meet up with family and see Steely Dan Concert at CMAC. A pleasant surprise for me! It is not new, or luxurious but it is comfortable and clean. The grounds are nice. The pool is outstanding with a really nice patio area to soak up sun and relax. There was a bit of a musty smell in my room in building 5, but when the AC was on it disappeared. Beds are firm but comfortable. TV okay, not flat screen. Good amount of space in the rooms. Parking is fine;. I don't know why the place gets such a bad rap. Glad I decided to try it for myself. Coming back in August for another concert and this time, no worries!
