Last January we stayed at the Bristol Mountain Resort in one of the North Star Village condos and had a great time. My in-laws live in St. Catharine's, Ontario, and it was an easy 3 hours drive for them to meet us there. We flew up from Georgia to take our 2 sons skiing and to see the grandparents.
The condo was very spacious, although not updated at all. It was clean, and it was nice to have a kitchen, but it would have been more comfortable if the furnishings had been a bit newer. I thought it was a bit pricey for the accommodation. The best part about it was the ski-in ski-out ability. We were right at the bottom of the slopes and that was a huge plus.
My older son, who was 7 during our trip, loved the ski school. His instructors were great and he was zipping down the big runs after one class. Granted, he's a hockey player, so he's used to slippery things on his feet, but he really learned a lot from the class. My 3 year old just wanted to play in the snow, and he did that with gusto. The prices were really good too, for the classes and the lift tickets.
The service was great all around, and we'll definitely go back on our next winter trip to see the Grandparents. I just hope the condos have some new furniture before we get there.
