This was my second year staying at Bonnie View and I could not recommend it more highly. I definately plan to return in 2012. I woke up every day and the biggest decision I had to make was whether to go to the lake or the pool. I enjoyed every minute of it. The place is very well-run, the owners are pleasant and keep the facilities impeccably clean, and the guests respect the rules and each other.

I like Bonnie View but some of these reviews are crazy, crazy positive....I've stayed here several times. The place is DESPERATELY in need of a little TLC. It's old, I like that. But come on, there isn't even a lousy coffee maker available....except for a tin can from the 50's. I get staying true to your roots, but an upgrade is needed! Some new bedding? Towels? A new sign? I've been coming to BL since I was a kid - nothing has changed a lick.

I just don't want people to get the impression this is some chi-chi spot - it isn't. It's very, very basic, and a bit rundown. It is very clean though. I don't want to be mean, just want to help others.

It feels sort of tour into good life of 80s; there is a table where fixed phone used to be next to a tennis court; vending machine has the old version of coke cans (luckily it does not work anymore), also rooms feel somewhat into 80's. Pretty outdated; old small TV etc.

But don't be misled by this first impression - the property very well managed. Front desk is phenomenally helpful; all facilities are well appointed (kids playgrounds, beach , boats) and work fine. Kitchen is stuffed with dinnerware ,microwave . The lake view is magnificent , though you do not have lake view from most properties. Our cottage was some 3 minutes walking from the beach which may be annoying .The beach has a shallow area for kids and pears for fishing / boating. Plenty of chairs around. . We did not stay at motel - so cannot comment on that, There is no restaurant on the property. stores aresome 10 mins driving . Quite a few family oriented restaurants 5 - 15 mins driving

My husband and I found found this place while on a return trip from Niagra Falls and went back year after year with extended family for reunions. This year our ac didn't work and they kept telling us it fine. We finally demanded they put a new one in and they did but it kept going out. They did nothing to appease us, actually behaved very rudely and that we were inconveniencing them with our complaints. They were so rude we had to leave our family and friends a day early.
