We chose to continue looking after passing up a Microtel a few miles earlier at $80., what a mistake. The ten dollars we saved was painful. The first room we got had a dreadful musty smell and we had to change. The girl at the front desk was very nice and moved us to another room on the second floor. Upon entering the room we were greeted with a broken door that stuck then suddenly let go causing a loud "crunch" every time it was opened. The room was ok but the carpet was weathered. The shower had black mildew around some accessory that was no longer in service, and the drain was blocked causing you to shower in above ancle high dirty water. I don't recommend this one unless they sink some cash into repairs.

Our group stayed here for 4 nights due to a conference in town. We had to relocate to the Super 8 due to flooding at our original hotel. Check-in took hours as there were only 2 housekeepers on and they were overwhelmed with check-outs from the previous day. The furnishing are old and in major need of upgrading. While the bathrooms were passibly clean, the towels were threadbare. The overall effect....we will never stay there again. We had twenty rooms booked for our conference group. Also someone is living in a camper in the back parking lot and they have a dog..which likes to bark whenever a car drives into the back parking lot. No conducive to a peaceful night's sleep.

We have stayed here before, and although never finding it to be great, it was at least passable. Not so this time. The halls smell of smoke, and our room had a very "funky" odor to it, though it appeared to be clean. What really shocked me was the reaction of the desk clerk when I informed her only one towel was in the room. Her response: "Sorry, but we don't have any more towels." When I pursued it further she apologized again, but said they hoped to have more the next day. After making it clear that was not an acceptable answer, I suggested she might find some in a room that was not occupied. At that point another person came in and took my suggestion. We did get the towels we needed, but the experience wasn't pleasant. Nor should it have been necessary. I very rarely write a negative review, neither my wife nor I expecting 5 star treatment at a 2 star motel, but this was beyond the pale.

I spent a week here simply because flooding in the area made rooms scarce. The room was deep down dirty, cobwebs everywhere. The air conditioner filter was covered in mold blooms; I was afraid to turn it on. The furnishings were dated and worn, at least thirty years old based on style and condition. My mattress looked like it was salvaged from a dumpster. Hot water was lukewarm at best, and ice cold in the mornings. Towels were small and threadbare. Hallways were dark and dirty. Key card locks on the entrances didn't work. The front desk help was sullen and surly; with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. The breakfast was Cosco doughnuts, bread and foul coffee served in a filthy room. To sum up, the place is a dump, and the owner is simply taking advantage of travelers with no alternative; as the floods have most decent places booked solid.
