This hotel smelled bad the moment we stepped into the hall. They were keeping dogs in one of the rooms at the end- probably contributed alot to the stink. I had to call the front desk to let them know we would be getting in late and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. Thankfully she wasn't there when we checked in and the man was much more pleasant. Our room smelled like airfreshener covering up wet dog. We got up early the next morning just to get out of there. And I wouldn't reccommend eating the complimentary breakfast. YUCK! Can't imagine how the Health Department hasn't been there to write up those violations!! Don't stay here. There has to be better hotels in this area!!
This may have been the first time a room was so awful that I turned around after walking in and demanded another room. The carpet has been replaced, but frankly the place needs to be gutted. It was dingy, smell and awful. The second room, a "suite" missing the second room was better, but the upholstery on the furniture was dirty and torn, the blanket stained and surround in the plastic shower surround coming apart at the seams. When I tried to stop the sink, the handle pulled off. Generally a DUMP.
We stayed at this same location a year before and were impressed enough to try it again on our way up from Florida to the Adirondacks. But, this trip we found it to be dirty, dingy and totally run down. The pool was closed and looked like a bomb hit it. The front desk person was unfriendly and not willing to help. We were so shocked. And, to top it all off, we paid top dollar. Will NEVER stop there again.
Needed a place to stay while visiting the Finger Lakes area in New York. We book one night at this hotel and we we were pleasantly surprise by our room. The room was very clean and provided a frig and a microvawe which was very usefull after a long trip. The hotel also provided a pool that was very clean and very will located. The only comment we would make is to extend the breakfast hours past 9:00am especially on week end at not everyone wants to wake up at 7:00 am. Also I was told told that coffee was available all day, however it is hard to drink coffee if not coffee cup are available. Besides this my husband and I would not hesitate to use this hotel again. We based our decision to stay at this hotel based on the Trip advisory feedback so thank you to all previous guest that put very informative comments.
