“Decent, clean, convenient”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

If you need to stay in or near Bayside, the Ramada is a good place to stay. It's not a high-end hotel, but it's a good hotel with comfortable, clean rooms. The people at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating, and even gave us a better price than the one quoted to us on the phone. There is free wi-fi and parking, as well as breakfast next door at the Adria. My only complaint is that I didn't get my wake-up call, so have a back up alarm. Other than that, I was pleased with the hotel and the staff and would stay there again next time I'm in town.

“Good value, clean rooms, triple sheeting (phew)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2011 via mobile

We are used. To staying in high end hotels, but with a baby, a minivan and family in queens, manhattan just wasn't practical. We stayed three nights at the Adria with a one yr old. The first night was in a king room. It was tight for us, so the front desk was very helpful in getting us moved across the hall to a double queen room. Much better! The cleaning staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and I like how they didn't have those gross bedspreads but the triple sheeting. The room was quiet other than some kids running around from a wedding. The breakfast was a surprise, very nice and the staff again very pleasant. Not crowded like animals to a trough (like we've seen in Hampton inn). Issues: smelled like some serious smoking was going on next door and it almost made us ill. Bathroom was small but ok for ny. Price was great, can't beat the value. When back in queens we wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

“Ramada Bayside Queens saved our weekend”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2011

Keep in mind this was not our choice at first. We had reserved the Queensboro Hotel (read my dissappointing review titled Beware)

But this hotel had a room luckly for us for 4 nights over Easter weekend. Beds were comfortable and clean. The sink was outside the bathroom which was weird but whatever, we dealt with it. If you stay at the Ramada the free breakfast is next door at the Adria which you have to walk outside and across the street. The restuarant is in the Ramada but that costs $.

Going into the Manhattan took about 15-20 mins by car with tolls. Drive was pretty straight forward.

There is a Burger King and Dunkin Donuts near by.

Would we stay here again? Probably not. Not because of the hotel but because we would not stay in Queens again. Good expierence but we prefer Manhattan.

“RatHole”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2011

RATHOLE! This place is horrible. The worst, rattiest hotel I've had the misfortune to book. PLEASE BE ADVISED: there are two hotels - one across the street from the other. One is the Ramada and the other is called Hotel Adria and when you book online, you don't know which one you may go into so beware and be very clear you want the Hotel Adria. We were misleadingly told that they are the same, but they are not. We came in from a few hours out of town around midnight. As soon as we stepped in to the lobby we were already displeased. We were put into a first floor room and as soon as we stepped off the elevator from the garage it reeked of cigarette (& etc if you know what I mean), body odor laced with bad greasy food. Being the first floor, it was way too loud (from the rowdy Spanish restaurant party) so we asked to move to a higher floor. We were put in the third and highest floor. It was worse - we walked into a stinking oven. The room must have been at least 90 degrees--the window didn't work and this room was even more depressing and dingy. So we called and asked if Hotel Adria across the street was any better. The concierge managed to switch us and at 2am we finally walked into a much better room situation. (please see my following review of The Adria).
So here it is:
Service: horrible--they gave us misinformation to begin with, were VERY rude. Totally unhelpful.
Location: Not pretty but looking to go exploring (Botanical Gardens, Science Museum nearby)
Room: gross, dingey, smelly and smoking. Bedbugs likely I am sure.

BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE - especially if you come in with your family or little ones.
This place is totally unacceptable.

“Good value and great location as home base only minutes away from LIR which will take you into the heart of Manhattan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2010

Hotel cost being so expensive in Manhattan, we seek a cheaper place to stay. We lucked into Ramada Bayside Queens while they were having a special promotional deal for 3 nights stay. We saved as least a few hundred dollars, and the accommodation is more than adequate. With the money saved, we booked a tour for 4 with Topaz Tours at the recommendation of the hotel staff. It was an 8 hour tour of New York's major attractions along with admissions on a "Water Taxi" a guided tour of the Statue of Liberty on the Hudson River and then the Empire State Bldg all without having to wait in line for tickets. It was the best money spent.

My family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend this hotel to anyone especially our friends and family.
