The hotel is pretty dated and the furnishings are too. What impressed me was a "personalized" letter from the hotel manager welcoming me to the hotel and explaining that they were about to begin a furniture replacement program. At least that told me they knew they needed to seriously update the place. Also a bottle of water and bag of chips was on the desk. The desk chair was broken, and the desk was counter height which did not allow for any convenient use of either. Also they apologized for the lack of newspapers in the morning, since they claim they are unable to get USA Today to deliver them to their Tucumcari location.
