We were skiing at Taos and needed somewhere to stay. Taos is a nice town and has good restaurants and shops, though they close pretty early if you ski all day. The hotel is at the wrong end of town for the ski valley, so you have a few extra mins to drive to get to the resort. I would allow 45 mins to get there including parking. The hotel is an older Hampton Inn and shows it in places but overall has been well maintained. The most annoying issue was the internet (WIFI) wasn't working and people were queued up for the PC in the lobby. The breakfast area was small and with most guest skiing there wasn't room for everyone to sit. Breakfast itself was good with hot omelet and sausages as well as fresh waffels. The beds were the comfortable Hampton standard and rooms were ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. There were newspapers and magazines in the reception area to read, or take to your room.
