i was at the property for a workshop -- and it's situated very close to town which is great! literally a 5 minute walk, through a park, to the square. it has a gorgeous, desert-like feeling with all adobe buildings. i was in a house that is not in the main building, and while it was adequate, it was not "hotel-like" by any means. so, just so you know what you're getting into -- the maid service for my 8-day stay, included one sheet change, and the garbage being dumped each day. we had a small kitchen in the house, and even the tea cups were not washed. there was a vacuum but it was never used. the counters were not dusted, nor were the bed side tables, etc. so there really isn't maid service, which, for me, was awful. the food was good, but they were a bit snotty, really about allergies. i have a severe nut allergy, and i offered to eat very plainly, but it seemed to be a bit of a hassle for her to tell me what i could and could not eat that particular meal. oh well -- i loved the workshop i did, and the facilities for that were perfect. it was quiet (a few dogs, but that's ok) and serene. loved the labryinth, and the main building has a great sitting room. sure, the front desk people aren't exactly warm, but there fine for taking your money and giving you information. if you're looking for a luxury B and B, casa de las chimineas (sp?) is gorgeous, and i highly recommend it for a well- appointed room and gourmet meals.
